I almost expect the $199.99 price point from Nintendo.. Since they're actually making money off of hardware sales, if they want to hammer the last nail into the PS3's coffin, that price point is all they would need.

and you download one of your NES games to your DS
That would be awesome! Too bad the game would disappear after you turn off your ds tho..

@tycobb: How would registering software decrease piracy and 2nd hand games?

-- Bring on the October release! :D

they would probably aim for 250, but 200 is not out of the question. they are using outdated tech for their system. its dirt cheap to make, no more than 250-300 a pop most likely.

But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

@ cantide It all depends on what nintendo puts in place for anti-piracy.I'm not saying it will happen, but theoretically If the second user goes online with someone elses registered game they would be kicked. They are able to check the unique product number these days and the the console knows if it has been registered.

I don't think it will happen because I don't think nintendo would spend the money for the technology but it remains to be seen just what all they will implement.

on the system, on like a tennis game...do you have to be up and playng like it is actaul tennis? or can you just play normally. I don;t know if i will like this system much either becuase of the graphics, i mean i've been playing 360 since it's launch it'd be wierd going to the wii with so so graphics.

yes, words directly from a developer when asked that question were "we expect you to be standing."

I doint think it's so much a matter of waiting for the PS3, as it will be coming out shortly after the Wii. It's more like are you willing to pay an extra $400 for a PS3? 'Cause I know I'm not.

Aside from Wii Tenis and Baseball, I dont think I've seen another game that requires you to stand up (except maybe a couple mini games in Wario Ware)

I can't wait to try my hand at fishing in Twilight Princess.. I loved the fishing game that was in Orcarina of Time, and when I saw that guy fishing in the new Zelda title on the Wii video I got very excited :D

I can see what you are saying, although it will carry a hefty price tag...i think it will be well worht it. I currently have the 360 i am impressed, the graphics are so awesome the cars look real. PS3 is said to have even better graphics, i mean 1080 they both have but PS3 should still be sweet.....The nintendo wii the graphics are no better then the game cube.

First of all, according to a study (no links, sorry) 79% of games of 360/PS3 will have the exact same graphics while the rest of the ps3 games will be slightly better than the 360...and the Wii will have better graphics than any current-gen console (PS2,Gamecube, and Xbox)! It will be slightly more powerful than the xbox, in terms of CPU speed, the Xbox has 733 Mhz clock speed and the Wii has about 875 Mhz CPU clock speed so...expect a new fun way to play games with a slight increase in graphics/AI/etc...for all you ppl who want to buy 360/PS3, instead buy a high end comp (especially if you want both) because it will be cheaper in the longrun, it will be cheaper right away if you are thinking of buying both the 360 and PS3!

P.S. I can't wait to be able to emulate Xbox games that way I can sell my xbox and keep the games that way things stay legal...and I make some cash without losing anything at all...now thats a good idea!

If I insult you...don't get offended...my insults are "friendly insults"...I know this sounds stupid (ridiculous) but I am fet up of writing, "no offense" in my posts...

My Comp: (will add specs later)

hahaha! Those are simplistic tech demos only to demonstrate the wiimote.. if you want to see how the graphics are going to look, take a look at some of the new Nintendo franchises and UbiSoft's Red Steel.. not to mention SSB:B wich looks sweet.

A lot of people have mentioned that the graphics for Wii are going to be between Xbox and Xbox360 quality. I believe Nintendo mentioned that the graphics for Twilight Princess are high end GameCube and low end Wii graphics.

I sitll think Nintendo is holding out on the graphics, since their gpu is still 'under development.' I think we saw the full potential of the Game Cube graphics at E3, and not actually the graphical capabilities of the Wii.

The Wii may not be on even ground in graphics with the x360 or PS3, but I think they are advanced enough to bring a refreshing look. Add in Nintendo's new way of playing games (wich now makes console fps games viable imo) and you have a wining combination which is cheaper in price by a large margin than any of the compatition.

from what ive seen is the grapics over all are only slightly better than the xbox, for they rival the genesis (warioware).

Aside from the sports titles, it doesn't look like you *have* to get up to play most games. For example, Red Steel, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Metriod: Corruption, Mario: Galaxy, and Excite Truck which were featured in the E3 Wii video showed people sitting down to play the games. Super Smash Brothers: Brawl doesn't even use the wiimote (gcn controllers only).

I believe the majority of titles for the Wii are going to be sitting titles.. no one wants to be standing for hours playing a video game, and developers know that. On top of this, waving your arms around can get tiring too, so I expect to see a good few more titles using only gcn controlers like SSB:B.
