Most have a very short life expectancy.

Basically yes. For the last couple of years Gigabyte have been surpassing Asus in sales rates as you can buy a cheap gigabyte board that won't fail on you in a matter of months. With Asus, that's proving increasingly difficult, as many here have found out through personal experience.

No, you buy the version you pay for. I think there might be some option to install the downgraded version of the OS you buy (e.g. Home Premium if you bought the Ultimate disc) but you certainly won't find the 64-bit version of Vista on the 32-bit disc, and vice versa.

Actually the 32bit vista disc has all 32bit versions on it you get what your serial number entitles you to, we use copies of the disc (having given away two accidently)and one disc does basic premium and ultimate have seperate discs for business but not needed them yet
if you load without putting the serial in you may find that it's limited time and then you'll have to reinstall

i7 3770 12GB ram terrabyte sata drive 1 750Gb sata drive 285GTX graphics Sony dvdwriter same NZXT Nemesis case
Still playing Black Hawk Down why did I upgrade?

Sorry, did I miss something? I thought that's what I said. This isn't a dig, I'm curious.
