now guys i was hyped for the x360 launch. but all big games i feel really let me down. pdz HORRIBLE, Ghost recon good campaign HORRIBLE online. oblivion is fun but forgetable. the best game for the x360 is by far quake4 and then doa4.
p.s. you guys can now roast me for this post staaaaaaaaarrrrtttting now!

well sounds like this person doesn't have a HDTV which makes a difference
and oblivion doesn't suck and if xbox 360 owners caught you saying that at www.xbox.com/forums they would find you and hunt you down and beat you ugly
so you might want to watch what you say

Quake 4 is gay too. I'd probably be pissed off too if I dropped that kind of cash on the gayest games available at this point.

You know what they say about opinions...
In my opinion the 360 has had an extremely weak launch but it's nothing new to me after the PS2 and Xbox. I mean, I had my PS2 for 6 months to a year before I saw anything other than SSX that made me think it was any better than the Dreamcast (or just games worth playing in general). I hate that the 360 has been this weak but in my opinion they launched too early. They pushed a release date just for the sake of having an early release date in the books. All that being said, Ghost Recon 3 is the bomb for me. I've been waiting for this game since I first heard about it and it lived up to the hype. I'm blown away by someone saying the online play isn't good. To me the online play is awesome. I never thought I would have so many gametypes that were actually this fun with a GR game. I mean, CTF is a blast! One look at the graphics finally shows us a step up from the other systems. Yeah, COD2 was impressive at times (graphics wise) but lacked in areas. GR3 blows COD2 away. It also cracks me up to see someone saying that Quake4 is the best game. Talk about dropping the ball. Q4 is a disaster IMO but like I said, we all have opinions.
I'll likely have the PS3 if they can get it to $500 or less but Sony is going to lose a butt load of cash to release the PS3 at even $500, much less $400 like the premium 360. I guess we will see.

I had my 360 since christmas...But maybe only played it for a week....Because i was to lazy to trade it in for the second generation 360....Mine has alot of defects...I agree though that microsoft released it too early....They just wanted to get it in by xmas to make more money

i think the luanch games were pretty crap but with the arrival of ghost recon, burnout revenge, oblivion, farcry (soon) and battlefield 2 (soon), things are looking better and i think that after e3 people will be amazed at what games will be released.

I got a first generation unit but don't have any problems. I bought the 2 year warranty just in case. I guess it is possible I got a better unit than the 1st shipment. Hmm.. I received mine about 3 weeks after launch. I wasn't in a huge rush to play COD2 anyway. Oh, we have to give some props for PGR3. It isn't everyone's cup of tea but what it does it does extremely well. The only thing I didn't like was having access to all of the cars right off. What ever happened to having to work your tail off for something that went over 200mph? I suppose others like that you can get a premium car in an hour though. Oh well, there will be plenty of racing games ahead. What the 360 needs is a great adventure/platformer game like Sly Cooper or Jak but with wicked graphics. There's nothing worth playing with my 7 year old son on the 360. Thank goodness he is good at GR and Halo 2.
Oh, one last comment. When do you guys think thest game prices will go down? If these were on HD-DVD like originally planned then I could see the reason for the increase but considering they are on 20 cent DVDs I can't imagine why I'm paying $60 for a game.

Yea some 1st generation 360's have defects as they were basically rushed for release
But it was working fine until about a week..And now it won't play any of my games at all.........And i also have the warrenty altho i don't think i need to use it on,it but i don't know since it wasn't my fault that it happened
I am still too lazy to turn it in yet..LOL

of course i gotta HDTV, the games are not great just ok.the games i was most excited about were enchantarm, alan wake, saintsrow, and lost odysee. and 2 of those games have totaly dissapeared. I guess its very early but PS3! PS3!

I agree. The lack of desirable titles has more to do with the increase of development costs, than it has with the console you buy.

to be honest, when i frist got my xbox 360 i was not too happy, but over time i have seen what it has to offer and if the games improve at this rate i will be happy.

I'm in opposite position. I have 9 games. I enjoyed playing all of them. Madden pissed me off a bit with all it's problems, but I still enjoyed playing it for a little while. I have a PS2 with swap magic and a modded Xbox that I barely play, because of my 360.

Well, the good thing for me is that I don't have time or even care to buy a ton of games. I play online 90% of the time so I can be happy with a game like GR3 for a long time while I'm waiting on something great to make me think that I MUST OWN it.
The PS3 is interesting mostly to me because the PS2 has so many platformers and I know my son would love to play many of them. The PS2 is horrible for fps games in my opinion and that is my thing. Nothing the PS2 released could touch Halo 2 or even GR and GR2 (yes GR games were on the PS2 but they blew when comparing to Xbox versions). In the end each console will have its selling point in the exclusive games that they carry but I'm thinking that the PS3 will have the same issue of poor launch games as the PS2 and 360. Add to this the fact that it will be a miracle if they release a Blue Ray system for under $500 by their estimated launch.

I havent been totatally satisfied with the Xbox 360 Games.
My game reviews...

Condemned (should of had some small Online Mutliplay who would want to swing axes at each other!)
Perfect Dark Zero (The first one for the N64 Was awesome, this one the graphics were great, the gameplay got boring fast, the story line sucked balls more than dooms pointless story line, and last of all the Online multiplayer wasnt that bad)
Call Of Duty 2 (Could use some work, good game though)
Need For Speed Most Wanted (Ugh I didnt play dis game cause I beat it on the Xbox before it came out for the Xbox 360, EA cheaped me)
Amped 3 (The Smallest Snowboarding Levels in history, I love snowboarding been doing it for 6 years now and guess what I think AMPLED 3 made it so I will never snowboard again, the gameplay is fun if you follow the story.)
Quake 4 ( I do proffesionalize in the Quake Series, but this one for the Xbox 360 wont be as good as Quake Wars for the PC, but let me stick the main topic, Quake 4 gets a 8/10 from cliffy B's eyes but my eyez arent that same as his so I give it a 7/10, although Cliff is a cool dude I wish I could talk to him in real life insted of email.

Actually they will probably sell it under $500 at launch. But the question is how much under. It might retail at the same price as an Xbox 360
