Wii backups

I was wondering a while back thinking "Will i be able to backup on the Wii" but then i realised of course i would eventually...one way or another there will be a modchip/firmware hack mod...
Using the DVD-R format there will probably not be much of a challenge as PS3 to get backingup the games.
My bet is in about 2 weeks or at the most a month there will be a backup solution for the Wii...it was not long for the for PSP or the xbox 360 i heard news of backups within days of the realease...
What do you all think about a backup solution for the Wii? Easy or hard? How long do you think it will take to have a successful solution?

I think the Wii will be hacked fairly quickly, just because it's part of the territory Nintendo is going into with the Wii.

Thats what i'm thinking, offRome.
I know it took quite a while to get a working solution for the GameCube but back then there was less popularity surrounding the GameCube...the Wii is already the most popular of the three next gen consoles and if you look at the PSP or xbox 360 they were hacked so much quicker just becuase of the popularity...so i'd say that the more popular the console is = less time to have a backup solution

I think the "Nintendo Wii" will be hacked much faster then the Gamecube because it has onboard wifi connections, Internet connections and 2 USB ports :)
maybe a hacker is going to make a external HDD work with the Wii to copy the files from the disk to the HDD
Wii + HDD = Wii Disc copy ---> HDD = Backup^^

not many people buy blank mini DVDs and GCN didn't have a hard drive. Wii is just using normal DVD-rs and dual layer ones as well. I also heard that Wii will be able to take an external hard drive. "Backing up" games for it wont be hard at all.

Why must this conversation be now!
In due time these forums will be over taken by mod discussion's.It's not out yet so cross that bridge when it comes.Nobody knows what anti-piracy measures nintendo has taken so discussing it is irrelevant.Just enjoy these forums why there still pure.Trust me.

Only problem that arises is that they won't be able to legally advertise their modchips. Other than that, let's not put too much pressure on the future hacker. Hacking is a lot more work than you think.

xboxowner, why don't you check cnet's search results for ps3 and Wii since e3. or Google's history. maybe not the most popular at afterdawn, but things are a little different when you step into... you know... the rest of the world. On top of that, check out why next gen systems have gotten so much publicity...

i like the wii because of the controller thats it
u are going to tell me that the wii is going to be a better all around system than the 360 and ps3
it may be popular...but i dont think it will dominate the other systems...

Yeah I didn't say aD forums specifically, I said forums that means any forums.
The 360 has been out for a year and people actually have something to discuss.The wii isn't out yet and we're here just speculating.Besides that, there is hardly a thread on the xbox360 forums that isn't talking about modding.We have nothing to mod on the wii forum.BIG difference.
gee I wonder why the 360 forum has so many posts lol.
You didn't see anyone hyping up the 360 before release like the wii and ps3 is being hyped.Nintendo isn't stupid they know how to market and with the low price point I believe people have underestimated a company with a great track record in the game industry.

Wii is going to be much better than 360. Not sure about the PS3 but with the price its definitly going to be more succesful

The Wii acctually IS the most popular of the three consoles...
Star of e3...many people are leaving Sony/XBox for the Wii...If you only read about the other consoles you will obviously think they are the most popular.
