Cool. I was also noticing the PS3 with BD-Rs, which is a great image, because THAT doesn't encourage early piracy... Not a bit. lol.
But yeah, it's cool to really see what we're getting.

So true there is nothing like it LOL thats the best part of the console the last console i opend was the DS back in June 04 but the actual console not handheld was the gamecube September 2002 quite a while now

wow its the 5th man the days are gettin shorter and shorter , you know what it seems like 4 month came buy fast but when you get down to the last days ! it takes years !it feel like a years has pasted and its only the 5th of Nov. lol we only got 14 more years to go

Target worker Leak how many Wii's stores will get in North America
if you missed out on pre-orders do worry someone in this link listed how many Wii's per store Target would get . I found out mines was gettin 60 at Super Target in my city on the east side and 33 at the Target right by me hmm . I hope you guys love this because it sounds like its the real deal check it out

Last console I opened was ions ago... That old school system, the XBox 360 on opening night. Before that the PSP.
The kicker, I didn't pre-order the 360. I just showed up and got it that night. I am a bad bad little man. It was great, I heard that one store would have an extra so I laid claim to it nice and quick. Then I went back to the store I worked at the next day, and spent the day telling everyone we were sold out for the next three and a half months. It was really funny to me, because everyone always says the employees get first pick, and have an unfair advantage, etc; but I had to make a LOT of phone calls and go to a competitor. Good times.

@ csm11 , no prob I just wanted to prove pre-orders were pointless if the Wii is puttin out all those units so they pre-order for nothin well in North America but maybe Aussies should pre-order or anyone gettin the Wii after it hits North American since the launch would dip into the numbers not knowin how many are lef . I found out the Target was the underdog and had more consoles then alot of stores they was not! thought to have that many but nintendo is on their ship since they have that gift card and so many units . We might have a new Best Buy , Target must have learned about launches at Best buy . I think we will see more consoles at Target now way more
@ Handsom , yeah I feel you ,the first console I opened was a Nes,then Super Nes, after that Ps1 , Ps2. I have got the change to get a 360, DS or a Psp. I could a had the Sega Master System instead of the Nes but my cousin got one so I got a Nes . lol that was the case with the Super Nes too he got the Genesis . those were the days It wasnt no since in all of us gettin the same machine , we wanted to try the both out so if I spend the night SEGA for me and we he did NINTENDO for him! the best of both worlds

Well, I won't say they're *pointless* perse, they just may not be *necessary*. But I look at it this way; it means that I *know* I'm getting one on day 1. So, I don't have to worry about getting down there, because I am third in the list, so mine will be there whether I camp, or I show up last minute. I don't need to worry about waiting for re-supply shipments, and I'm good to go.
So, while it isn't completely necessary, I do feel it's worth the peace of mind; I'm not spending any extra money on it, and I know it's there. So that's my take. But that doesn't mean those without pre-orders should be concerned. Remember, GameStop in the US alone will have 750,000 units by year's end. That's one retailer in the US, who will have more than double the PS3 shipment for the entire US(If you look , only one retailer, not to mention stores like Wal-Mart, Target, and Best Buy. Getting your mits on one should only be vaguely challenging, even more so after the Christmas rush.
As for me, I tend to get all the systems, some quicker than others. I really haven't been personally impressed with anything the PS3 is doing, which is why I haven't pre-ordered, and may not get one until well into it's second or third year of life. I have to see some good reasons to get it before I buy. The Wii is an interesting new way to play altogether; the 360 was the first system that could *really* use my HDTV, and I liked the original, so it was a natural choice. In the last console race, the ps2 was my last system to be picked up; as I wasn't terribly concerned with the exclusives on it for the first year or two. That's not to say I didn't pick up some early titles later, but they didn't merit the system purchase for a while.

Okay, I have a question. When playing the Wii can you play it like a normal console, or do you have to like be up and moving around? Cuz i mean some games will just be gay if you have to be acting the game out.

Well Its not like an Eyetoywhere it senses where you are.It dosent care about you it only cares how you move it so really there is no need for all of that acting crap the most acting i've seen is in Wii sport ( WHICH WILL COME IN A STUPID CARDBOARD SLEVE as I found out today) and Zelda in the sword fights and liek driving a car those are the 3 games that require the most but no as much as you think tennis you could swing like in real life or just a bit it will com with the same result.
P.S Hopefully they make something like Eye toy for the Wii cause it would look better and I'd just like it anywayz I love eyetoy

the game pad, you mean the classic controler? thats just for the emulator. *most* games will be built around the motion sensor controler, so while Im sure there will be plenty of alternate control schemes, youll have to use the motion sensing. though SSBB will use mainly the buttons so hopefully more developers don't use the motion sensing for genres in which it would get in the way

I'm seeing mixed clips, some show very limited motion being needed, others show a LOT. Honestly, it seems that there are two things playing into this:
-Some developers are trying to really emphasize the "Neato" factor of the Wii, much the same way early DS ads did. It made the system look really... Bad.
-There may be some degree of calibration required on the controller, depending on how much you may or may not 'flail'. That may be a huge factor.
Ultimately, I'm much more inclined to believe the clips of people sitting down and playing in a relaxed position, because I see no reason game companies would have to exagurate in this direction, but like I said before, they DO tend to exagurate the degree of how 'Neato' it is.
