Indeed. GTA IV on my 8600GT, was almost bearable. But upgrading to the GTX 260...there is no comparison :D There was a slight amount of lag, trying to push that 8600Gt though :p
Now I average 45-55 FPS :D
To delete, or not to delete. THAT is the question!

AA is anti-aliasing, in other words edge smoothing. In some games it does very little, in others it makes the game look a lot better. Lag caused by AA is an insufficient graphics card, which doesn't surprise me.

Lots of reasonable video cards can be had for cheap. Even a 4850 or 9800GT would be a major upgrade and still are cheaper than the 5770.

You should also really be using an HD4670 or HD5670 instead of the 9500GT.

are you saying this because because the 9500GT not suitable for high gaming proformance like the HD's ? this 9500GT would be a low end budget pick

Well the HD4670 is more than twice as powerful for gaming, costs the same and uses the same amount of power. There may not be much reason to get extra gaming performance, but there's no point buying a really weak card when you don't have to. If you want to save swap the HD4670 for the HD4650, still a better card.

The price was before i added the patriot memory and before tax
as for the video card my mind is already set on this card http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/S...6156&CatId=3585 and for the memory when i can afford it im looking at these http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/S...0425&CatId=3413 cheaper than those patriot and allow me for more if needed before the patriot i was using 4gb of some unknown brand bought from the source at 20$ a stick for a total of 80$
the tower will be fitted with an old window kit i have on my old tower which hold a 120mm fan plus i just love how the yellow tower looks with all the blue lights coming out of it (maybe a professional paintjob when the time comes)
As for the price all together yes it is higher than what i said for what i have but you got to understand that ive look around and waited for weeks before finding what i wanted for the right price like the E6850 cpu for a 100$ i still think that was a steal lol

Whisper you don't have to defend your purchases... You spent the money not us and I think you got some good components... would I change some of them or "upgrade" when I could.. sure but it's NOT to bad for your first out of the gate puter if you ask me... I did horribly the first time I built one... I did it right but chose some "lacking" components. LOL. ;)
MOST of the help you get here is pretty good but remember we all have our favorites and you need to weed thru that as well as do some research on your own. ;)
for example... I like Muskin RAM, CM Cases, Corsair PSU's, ATi video cards, and Liteon ODD's.... some will agree and some will say I'm crazy but it's about what works for you and the luck with certain products. :)
GOOD luck btw.. :)

Personally I will never buy another Liteon ODD, even though they're probably much better then the one I had many years ago. 20/25 DVD's ended up as coasters before I finally gave up on it. My current ODD (SH-203N) gets me perfect burns every time and even has as zero write offset a an added bonus :D

LOL... see what I mean. :p
I understand and I've had good luck with them actually... LG is prolly my favorite writer but it doesn't do some of the things that Liteon does... like scan and such. ;)
Good luck with your Samsung tho... they are pretty good too. ;)

See, thats what I'm talking about. I love lite-on, but you've had a bad experience with them. In fact the best drive i've ever had is my lite-on LH-20A1H. My SH-S223Q(2 of them) Samsung was good for a couple months, then went down hill. Samsung usually is all around pretty good. I think AMD chose me LOL! As well as Sony chose me. I've met people that despise sony, and yet I've never been wronged by them. Strange how our universe is wired ;) Although I have had 1 bad lite-on drive. Every manufacturer runs the risk of a bad product. None of them are perfect. It's when you get bad one after bad one after bad one when you need to say, "You know... this manufacturer sure is shoddy!"

all the help i got was usefull after reviewing some of the product and listening to some advice i made my choice on the OCZ Fatal1ty 4GB Dual Channel PC8500 memory and XFX Radeon HD 5770 Video Card and with that i should be able to enjoy a good night of gaming at its best. Thank alot guys
Greensman ive had a LG super multi with lightscribe for a year or so and i love it first LG drive ive bought and im not disappointed.
Same goes with seagate,5yrs old going on 6 barracuda still kickin strong and the sucker is dead quiet and doesnt seem like its gonna die anytime soon.
That remind me i had a 80gb barracuda that seized so a friend suggested i just drop the drive on the floor and see what happen well its still work as a spare drive ( i wont take a chance to install window or any other thing on it)to whoever reading this last bit about dropping the drive on the floor DO NOT TRY we were unprofessional doing stupid thing because we thought the drive was good for garbage and this could really damage your drive

Will,
Nope. I can't go there. There's a lot more difference than $20 to $40 for a decent budget build. Here's a couple of examples!
Here's an Phenom II x2 550BE Dual core Build. $438.15
http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/4607/buildt.jpg
It's a Phenom II x4 with 2 cores disabled. Chances are very good that yoyu will be able to unlock them. Very fast Dual core that sells very well.
Even if I go with the new Phenom II 955BE Quad build, with the C3 stepping, it's only $532.75, well under the budget you mention.
http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/3295/build955.jpg
You can mix and match a lot of parts and still stay under $600, including Tax and shipping! Either one would be a decent build for anyone wanting a new computer! You can split hairs on any of the individual components, but it's a solid all around build, either way!
I'm familiar with all the components, and I've had a good bit of experience with them, and there's no junk in these parts!
Best Regards,
Russ

A 550VX is a bit overkill don'tcha think? A 400CX would be way more than enough even with a mid-range video card.

you all kill me with the PSU wattage. why would you want to risk running at the bare minimum when for a few dollars more(good movie) you can have peace of mind knowing there is enough power there. instead of oh no i cant do that i dont have enough juice to get me there.

A Corsair 400CX is nowhere near bare minimum for that PC. PSU requirements are overrated to account for the fact that most PSUs are crap. The 400CX would easily run a much more power-hungry PC than a barebones budget build like what's being shown. I wouldn't be surprised to see one run a mid-range Crossfire(4850s) or SLI(9800GTs) rig if it had enough connectors. And even then it would probably be pretty dependable.
