In what way? My CPU isn't currently overclocked, and the highest my CPU usually goes is from 2.2 to 2.75, 25%. You've beat that. It's only especially good CPUs (3800+s can go from 2.0 to 2.95) and core 2 duos that can manage beyond 20-25%.

Nobody has yet to my knowledge, nowhere near. Tom's Hardware once managed a little over 60% on a P4 using Liquid nitrogen, and 65% on a Core 2 Duo E6600 (the best overclocking chip to date people argue) with another pretentious cooling system. At the end of it you spend so much money for those extra mhz, what's the point?

Yeah a few people have managed 3.4-3.6 from E6600s, they overclock really well.

I've never seen 80% on a 6400, but 75% is possible with the 6300, and a really good board/RAM/PSU. I think 70% might just be achievable on a 6400, I don't know.

It would seem not, but it certainly wouldn't last as long, not long enough to be used as an office PC, but then office PCs usually don't need to be overclocked!

My E6400 is overclocked 50% with little to no temperature increases... 29° C idle and 47° C load on air... See sig. for CPU-Z validation ID.

ggrrrr, psu's. mine packed in the other day.
i got up and tried to turn it on, nothing, opened up the case, rechecked everything, changed fuses, power leads all without success. got my old 350w out and stuck it in everything worked???
so i took it back to the shop and they had had a few that had been returned with the same thing. apart from that it was great. anyway, he didnt have any others of similar spec so i have had to get a 600w jeantech one from pcworld. have to say that so far i am quite impressed with it. modular cables, 4 and 8 pin 5v, 2 6 pin pcie lines. the only down side is that the 2 12v lines are only 22amp, but as yet thats not a problem for me.
off topic sorry.
i have found that for benchmarks i am better to oc only as far as my ram will go instead of using dividers, but for games it seems that it doesnt matter if i use them.
strange but true, anyone else found this?

GTR35,
Tell you what I got a killer piece of music if you want to test your on-board sound. If you get distortion, especially in the bass, your on-board sucks. It will take your sound system through a very strange tour. Along the way it manages to cover a lot of musical styles from classical to hard rock and culminates with a Nuclear Explosion. Have you ever heard an accompanied drum duet? It's wild and 12:17 long. I can crank up all 425 Watts of my sound system and you can "Feel" the music in your body. Considering the 5 tiny Sony speakers and 1 10" Woofer that came with my Digital Audio Control Center and the old Sound Blaster Live card in the PC, it's truely amazing sound and I Definately don't crank it up on an empty stomach! Anyway this piece of music is by Kansas (Old Kansas!) and it's called "Incumudro" and it's one kick-a$$ piece of music. If you'de like a copy it's 11.3 MB just download from bitComet or something like that Either that or just pm me where to send it! e-mail, Instant Messinger or however you want!
Happy Computering,
theone
