An excellent price, but these guys seem to have a rather poor to so-so rating, according to the online reviews. I'd love to get about a hundred discs, but I'm a bit hesitant.

I've had 100% with Microcenters Verbs not a problem with them. Chris

Can't say about the new packaging, and I buy the +r's single printable and the last 2 years all my dual layer have came from them

I'm considering going ahead with my order. I trust the words of folks here, and I guess most of the time people are more likely to write a negative review than a positive one over at Epinions, etc. And $1.50 each to me is a good price.

I have numerous projects coming up, so I bought 5 packs. Kinda thinkin' along the line of maybe 5 more. These babies would make a great Christmas gift.

Microcenter? Never had a problem buying anything in the store nor buying online then picking it up a day or two later at my local Microcenter.

Delivery? Nope, haven't done it with this company...

Wow this is a great deal im going to trust you guys and make a order ;) i was thinking of going to the Micro center near me but its 49 mins away so i'll just have it shipped i'd probably waste more money on gas then the 5.99 shipping cost. Anyone know how long it takes to ship? Is it better if i just go? thanks guys

I ordered mine first thing Monday morning around 8:00 and at 9:41 I received shipment confirmation. Fed Ex has mine on the truck OFD now. I live just outside Nashville, TN and the shipment came from Grove City, OH.

I'd opt for the $5.99 shipping. Consider your time and gas round trip.

Yeah my Microcenters an hour away and it'd be cheaper to have it shipped [ esp when I go into the store and buy more than I planned along with added must haves ] but make a afternoon of it and buy the GF some lunch and hopes she springs for some of my must haves. Chris

Just got in my shipment and every pack shows "Made in India". I know that MBI does these with MCC/MKM stampings, but has anyone used these MII? I haven't opened them yet, just in case.

From what I've read of the members over here and around the net, MIS are the best ones. MIT are supposed to be okay, but I think the jury is still out on MII. So I have five packs still sealed and I'm waiting on some sort of definitve word. Almost like "just waiting 'till my daddy gets home". ;-)

its crazy how the same brand/product can perform so differently depending on where it was produced.

Well then somebody should try them at 2.4x to either 6x or 8x (whatever the highest speed is) & post the results.

Yeah, you're right. I'm a bit skeptical about it, especially not knowing a return policy from Microcenter on opened DVDs. If I knew there wouldn't be a problem, I'd jump right in.

Maybe JoeRyan will put his knowledge in on this question of the quality of Verbatim DVD+R DL MII .

WOW just got mine today!!! That was fast. Now does anyone know how good these are and what approach we should take in terms of burning speeds? Any info will help out thanks.

ok just did 2 burns at 4x. The first burnt at 4x, but the second one wouldn't go beyond 2.4x during burning even though it was set for 4x. In the end, so far so good both are working properly ;)

I guess they won't burn faster than 4x then?

Now this is just me: I don't try to burn DL beyond 4x or SL beyond 8x. Keep in mind now, it depends on your burner. Just because the media is rated at 8x or 16x, that really means "up to". Think of it this way - your car may be capable of speeds of 140 mph and the speed limit on the road in front of your house is 30 mph. Are you gonna try to push either limit? Not me. Maybe I'm just too old and conservative of a geiser. It's like when I cook - slow and steady - and it will turn out fit for a king.

When I burn, I turn off my networking and virus protection, and I throttle it back. It works for me.

So, bratcher, are you pleased thusfar with the media? Is the MID India?
