I'm guessing english isn't your first language? Not really picking on you but your post is coming off rude - this guide is as simple as it gets.
But you don't have custom firmware so that's where you need to start - use this guide/thread:
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/610313
This one also is very easy to follow.

Easiest guide around!!!! Thanks for all your effort. Will you be updating the guide to M3.90 M33-3? I cannot auto update from home as my encryption on my router is higher than the PSP allows.

Ok I have a fat PSP running 3.80 M33-2 CFW and was interested in updating it to CFW 3.90 M33-2 or later but needed to know what I should do to do this right because I don't want to brick my PSP.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I just finished downloading the ONE STOP UPDATE but the instructions start off at 3.80 M33-5 which I don't have.I have 3.80 M33-2.

@poolpro
You can follow those same instructions of 3.80 M33-5 in the MUX.
Or if you can connect your psp to wi-fi, you can update via Network Update.

Hi I have a PSP which came with 3.80 firmware then I took it to a guy to mod it and after that it had 3.71 m33-2. After a couple of days I've found this topic and I've upgraded my PSP from 3.71 m33-2 to 3.90 m33-2 using the files from the first post. Now I want to downgrade to 3.80 m33-5 how can I do it?

How about starting your own thread with this question. This guide is for upgrading not downgrading. As well if you took the time to read other threads you would find how to downgrade back to a lower firmware.

I tried to go into recovery menu and change kernel mode to 3.52. When I try to update to 3.71, the screen turn blue and the proper update from sony pop up. Is this correct? My PSP is the original 1.5 firmware. I don't want to mess it up. Thanks
