Thank you for the great guide. I have a 1.5 that I've followed the guide with, and have ended up with 3.90 M33. Problem is after starting up with 3.90 M33 when I go to Game > Memory Stick I'm told "There are no games". This is where I used to access my iso's in the past, and the memory stick has iso's in the correct folder. Basically I can't see anything on the MS, not even the update programs I used to get to 3.90, or the programs to go to M33-2.
I've read the whole thread, but no one has had this problem. Any suggestions pls?

Are you going to update your files to include the 3.90 M33-3 release?

When I get time but till then it isn't all that hard to update via updater on PSP or even go to Dark ALex site and download and install manually.

Oh, that's good to know. I didn't think that the other ways were just as easy as your way (which is very easy, by the way! =) ). I'll look into that. Once again, thanks for your guide!

Yes. The memory stick still shows 500Mb free (it's a 4Gb stick) and I've connected to the PC to see. Everything is still there on the stick from the upgrade, but it's all not accessible from within the PSP anymore.

Try a different memory stick. Always format from within psp xmb after up/downgrading cfw. If new memory stick works fine, then your 4gb ms may be corrupted.

Awesome. Thank you very much, I didn't realise I needed to format. Also Larry for the original guide. Made it all very easy.
One more thing. If I have the M33-3 update files, is there an easy way to use this set of folders/instructions to update it, or is that a whole other issue?

Updating to 3.90 m33 would be better in my opinion. Whenever theres a firmware update, all you need to do once you are on 3.80 and higher, is to just give it a normal 'Network Update'. The result will still be cfw.
Formatting your ms would be better than deleting each file individually. It only takes a few seconds to format and will give you all files necessary that your cfw would need.

Is that true? If we already have CFW on our PSP (in my case, 3.52 M33-3 I think), I can just do the network update and it will update it to the latest 3.90 M33-3?

According to Dark Alex website (Since 3.80M33, you can download new M33 firmwares updates via the Network Update feature released at 3.80M33).
You must make sure that in Recovery Mode, 'Use M33 network Update' is ENABLED
But
in YOUR case, NO. You would first need to get to 3.80m33 or higher.

Complete newb here. I've read the walkthrough and it seems pretty straightforward. But... I have a PSP slim running 3.73 firmware, will this guide work for the slims? Also, am I reading it right that this walkthrough includes the 1.5 firmware? Does it downgrade automatically?

Little off topic but does anyone know if you can still use the USB Special System Storage program with this update?

I am having a problem with trying to do this. The instructions are perfect with no questions on that part but I believe that I am having a problem with the downloaded files (but not sure). When I extract the files (part 1 only as stated) WinRAR gives me errors of the following:
ONE_STOP_UPDATE.part1.rar: CRC failed in ONE_STOP_UPDATE\PSP\GAME\MUX20\UPDATE_1\371.PBP. The file is corrupt.
Then it gives another error of:
ONE_STOP_UPDATE.part1.rar: Unexpected end of archive.
I am trying to redownload it now (but I am deployed overseas where we have terrible connections and are limited on websites visited). Has anyone seen this before? It does not appear that part 2 opened either. When I move the files to the PSP root I do not see the file for 3.52 M33-4 UPDATE.

Try the Mirror Rapidshare links.
make sure to format ms before placing new files into it
Let me know if mirror links still work (they did for me)

Thank you. The re-download worked and I am now sitting at 3.90 M33 but I still can't play CSO files for some reason. Any suggestions?
