ok, the thing is that the guide says:

3.90m33-3 to 4.01/5.00 m33 ..so which one is it? 4 or directly 5?

and then is says .."at the menu choose the firmware you would like to update to 4.01/5.00" ...again which one? or it doesnt matter?

what about 4.01.m33-2 ...

edit: 3.90 m33-3 > 5.00 m33 > 5.00 m33-3 ! < is this the right way?

thanks!

It says to update to whatever firmware you want to go to. So what do you think that means?

Don't you think if you had to install 4.01 M33 before 5.00 M33 the guide would say so?

ok ran into a problem i did the update to 3.71 m33-4 with no problem. tried to go directly to 5.00 from there and it looks like an official psp update. is that the way that its supposed to look? so then i figure maybe i have to go step by step so i tried to run the 3.80 and i am getting the same type of update looks like an official psp update... please let me know if i should continue

Use your common sense people. Do you think the guide would make you install Offical Firmware? Plus if it did wouldn't you think there would be 100 of post saying it does?

I tested and the error I get is in Part2. I am sure this problem will be solved soon.
as far as Pandora battery, this guide does not include it for these updates.

Medifire was down for maintenance yesterday for a bit. I think something messed up during that time. I have however deleted the previous links and will be uploading them again shortly. I am updating the guide to include 5.00 M33-4 so it will be a few before the links come back up.

This is to update custom firmware PSP systems. You have official firmware so you need to go to the Ultimate Sticky guide and follow one of the guides for Pandora Battery + Magic Memory Stick.

i used the guide to go from v3.71 m33-2 to v3.71 m33-4 to v3.80 m33, now evertime i try open the MUX UPDATE 2.0, to go to the next firmware it says "game couldnt be started (800201a8)" i tried changing the kernel to 1.50 and vice versa even tried no umd option can someone tel me whats going on? i tried even formating the mmc, and putting the files again no luck...

or last resort shall i go back to v3.71 m33-2 with the pandora trick and try again? or even try with a umd in? heard somewhere that might work?

Are you positive you want to 3.80 M33? There shouldn't be no issue running it.

But you can go from 3.71 M33-2 straight to 5.00 M33 then 5.00 M33-4.

If you are on 5.00m33, why are you going to do it over? Are you using Pandora battery when upgrading? Use regular battery. Use Pandora only when you have official firmware and modding it to cfw or when unbricking. Hope that helps.

yes it goes to v5.0 m33 successfuly, but evertime you swith it on with a memory card the reader keeps blinking and screen stays blank? so if i keep the firmware i have to switch the psp on without a mmc, then put the mmc in? what is that about? is that semi bricked, and no i do it with a normal battery.
