Thanks for the guide.
Will this guide work for TA-082 Fat PSP ?
my PSP was once running OFW 2.71 with DevHook... it is now running CFW 3.52-M33-4, it has never been "hardware modded".
Will it encounter the "CTA8000025" error ??
thanks

OK, I have a fat psp with 3.52m334, and i've had it for quite some time now. there are some newer games out which arent working and i'm pretty sure it's because they require a higher version firmware. I've been waiting for god of war and I'm sure that'll take a higher firmware anyway, so I want to upgrade to 3.90m33, then m332. the readme file states:
Get the 3.90 sony update from somewhere, and put it in same folder, with name "390.PBP".
now the same folder would be which one? the UPDATE folder, or GAME folder?
Sorry, I haven't updated in a while like I said so I'm not sure which one to put it in, and I don't wanna screw up my psp. Thanks
Also, will i still be able to play all my older iso/cso's and emulators?

that message has nothing to do with what i'm trying to do. the readme says nothing about MUX updater or going into recovery mode or any of that stuff.
so what folder do i put it in? that was my question.

Ok, I need a really quick reply if possible.
I HAVE A FAT PSP.
I had 1.00 ages ago (I bought my PSP when it first came out). Then to 1.5 etc etc. and eventually to 2.71. THen i downgraded to 1.5 with HEN-d etc.
Since I downgraded from 2.71 to 1.5, will my PSP brick if I upgrade to 3.90-m33 ?!
my psp is NOT TA-082.
Please respond quickly. Thank you =)

Theres is always a remote chance of the PSP bricking when flashing the firmware.
If you follow the guide and have the Battery fully charged with the AC Adapter plugged in during the upgrade that chance is very slim.
You will need to update to 3.52 M33 first then add the 3.52 M33-4 update. Then update to 3.90 M33 then add the 3.90 M33-2 update.
3.52 M33-3 or 3.52 M33-4 needs to be installed before you can go to 3.90 M33 this is why you need to upgrade to 3.52 M33 first.
