Read the trouble shooting guide and do some of the steps suggested. More then likely it is a PC or Memory Stick compatibility issue.

larrylje, thanks for putting up this guide. I just returned from my vacation, just south over the boarder. I checked my mail received news that CFW 5.00 M33 was just released a few hours ago. There seems to be a problem with the PSX eboots. The gamesave icon does not allow certain games to boot.

Dark-Alex is working on updating the popsloader plugin so it is compatible with 5.00 N33 firmware. once that and a few other homebrew apps are updated for 5.00 compatibility I will update the guides to add the 5.00 M33 firmware. For those that want to go to 5.00 M33 right now find another source untill I have updated the guide.

Many thanks always for the fantastic guides larrylje.

i have a slim with 4.01 ofw, more than likely sporting a ta-088 mobo, will updating my magic ms to dc7 give me a chance of possibly being able to mod the slim if by any chance it's not a v3 ta-088?

Cheers

It must be in the 380 folder, also set the homebrew kernel from the recovery menu to 1.50.

You have 3.80 Official now. So you can not use the OS Pandora Creator since you updated to Official Firmware. You will need to buy a datel tool battery or find a PSP that has custom firmware on it to convert the battery.

A big thank you to Larry for putting up the guide again.

Its looking a whole lot better now and hopefully (fingers crossed) you should get less dumb ass questions.

Im a total noob at modding but managed to get this working with the original instructions that Larry posted. I did have to read about the first 18 pages before I was sure on what I was doing. And luckily managed to do it before Larry pulled his original guides.

so PLEASE people.....DO some research before posting questions....it only clogs up the thread.

and Larry Thanks Again. You da man!!!

I just wanted to confirm that the NAND flasher included in this kit is Despartar Del Cementario, which dumps and flashes the NAND logically, not physically, right? Also, I read a guide on the NAND flash, but I'm still not too sure about the correct procedure to back it up and to flash it. I know there's many tools NANDtool, Despartar Del Cementario, Chilly Willy's Key Cleaner, ect. Which should I use? How do I use it?
Thanks in advance.
Also, which version of Del Cementario does this tutorial use?

EDIT - Nevermind, I found out.

Now I have another question.
By replacing the "backup.elf" file in the kd folder with the nandtool elf file, I could run nandtool instead of cementario with the pandora, right?

Another guide by larry?poor him,but yet, this is what he does best.I remember reading his Universal Unbricker guides and they were perfect.Larrylje, may I recommend the Tool battery found here at DealExtreme?
Pricing is always around the $9-10 mark with free shipping. The battery fits both the Fat and Slim PSPs.Hope it helps or something to that extent.

PSP #1:Fat,3.71 M33-4 CFW with 1.50-2 kernal add-on.
PSP #2:Slim,3.71 M33-4 CFW

Just want to say thanks to the up loader.
Im a total NOOB and managed to do this right of the block no probs. Best guide Ive used on any platform to date.

For other noobs, please read through the Guide thoroughly as all your questions are answered in their. People like this gent and Dark Alex do this of their own backs so be great full and try to sort your probs out by reading the info provided and not hounding those trying to help.

Larryje your a star. Cheers

dang i need a bit of help on this.

when creating the MMS the extraction process suddenly breaks off in the middle.. i've tried it with 2 sticks and both of them gets an error by the file called 371.PBP

does anyone know of a workaround or is this part of the compatibility issue covered in troubleshooting?

i'm running XP on a laptop.

also i've disabled my graphics card because of overheating and running on the laptops backup solution(or whatever it's called) and could this be a reason?

NO

Your only option is Pandora Battery + Magic Memory Stick.
