I believe you can if you have a card reader on your pc.
I know it works with Rain's UltraLite MMS Maker

The answer to the above users question is in the first sentence under the Magic Memory Stick section. It is simple! If users read the guide word for word, half the questions that are asked wouldn't be asked.

Answering their questions instead of making them read the guide teaches them nothing. Yes you might think your being helpful but all it does is add to the pointless post that shouldn't even have been made if the guide was read in the first time.

No larrylje is right and my mistake for answering. I should have pointed it to you in the guide.
larrylje deals with enough as it is.

I'll make my last comment and be on my way. If a moderator sees anybody do something they shouldn't, we act on it, whoever they are. So far all i've seen are your comments after being asked to check a guide, so let's leave it at that.

Your above statement proves my point. Time and time again users ask questions that are covered in the guide and past post (which a past post I posted answers your question also). Time and time again I say read the guide and past post. What is disrespectful about that?

Why should I or anyone else have to quote any part of the guide when you evidently didn't read it close enough in the first place (if you did you wouldn't have had to ask the above question).

I spent allot of time making the guide. I shouldn't have to spend extra time quoting parts of it in future post.

I'm sorry to have to ask this. But, All I see is MS this and Windows that. What about the community that uses Linux? For instance, I use Linux Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron 64-bit. Is there any way for me to mod my PSP even though I run Linux? I thank you for your time.

"Google" is your best friend buddy.
do a search for "create a magic memory stick with linux" and you will find.

Hello, 1st post..woot!

So I've been out of the loop for awhile, my psp was updated about 8 or so months ago to v3.51.

I thought I'd wait it out and hope one day a hack would come out to the me get back to 1.50 or custom fw.
A hack that didn't take a pandy battery :p

It never seemed to happened, so I finally ordered me a TOOL battery and just went though most of the guide here.

But I have a question. I have LOTs of downloads to "fix" my psp. So there is a good chance I have the file.. but in the walk through, when you get done with Easy installer, it says to copy files from the Add-on folder that came with the download. . .

But I didn't download the pack, I already had an Easy Installer (and don't really want to redownload, I only have dial-up and it would take 7+ hours ><). Is there a place that I can just get the Add-On folder for the 2 pbp files and the PSP folder?

Thanks ^-^

aww, there is sand in my gum.

Nope it is all included in the file and I am not going to split it up. Sorry for your luck. You will just need to download the update to whatever firmware you want and install it that way.

bummer, but no problem.

Can you tell me what is inside the PSP (game) folder then?
I'm guessing it is PSP>GAME> and then some stuff.
I just need to know the stuff, just to make sure the file/folder I have holds the same info.

Thanks ^-^

I have no idea why some are trying to use Hellcat. No where in the guide does it say to use it. The only reason it is there is because it was part of the easy installer files.

So read the guide and previous post again word for word. There have been others that have had your issue and I have already answered it in previous post.

Upgrading to 5.00 M33 is real simple, first place the 5.00 M33 eboot along with the official 5.00 in PSP/GAME/UPDATE. Now, run the update from the XMB.

If you want to install the 1.50 kernal add on, this is only for fat PSP, you will need to use DC7 and use the NAND tools. You will need to restructure the flash0 partition making it the largest out of the 3 partitions. I don't know why you would need to repartition a fat PSP in order to install the 1.50 kernal. I believe installing both the 5.00 M33 and 1.50 together, flash0 would not have the sufficient space in order to install.

The PSP must be repartitioned first if your intentions are to add the 1.50 to a fat PSP and after flashing 5.00 it must be applied before applying the M33-2 update. A slim cannot use the 1.50, so it does not apply.

I have a modded fat PSP and another fat PSP with original firmware 3.95 I made the magic stick with no problem I modded the battery with my modded PSP I then take the battery (in service mode) along with the magic stick and plug them to my PSP with orginal firmware the power light comes on automatically but thats all that happens. I tried putting the stick and the batt back into the modded PSP and still get nothing. I am able to get the battery out of service mode but I cant get custom firmware on the other PSP. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to get a Datel tool battery? Because I thought that the whole point of doing the pandora modded was to have your own. Any help will be great
