They got me and my 2 spare xboxs (rrod + E74) so all 3 are gone. I think it's time to start buying legit stuff again and have a banned as a game tester.

Consoles:
XBOX360 Falcon console with Lite-On 74850C
PS3 80gb phat model with 120gb hdd
PS3 60gb model
PS3 modded on 3.55

You shouldn't have to autofix anything. The default abgx360 settings are designed for people that rip their own games. It'll autofix only if the stealth is uncertain/fails and verification fails, but if the stealth check passes and verification fails, that's fine. It just means that the version you're ripping is slightly different from the one uploaded to the database. If you know what you're doing when you're ripping your own games, the stealth check will always pass, so abgx360 should never autofix.
Thanx funksoulb, that is what I had thought but, with all this banning going on made me question.

Only thing that makes sense to me is that they've just been adding up flagged consoles over time and are banning them all right now. I think the update could have brought in better error reporting or something. As far as I know, I haven't played one bad game (re-verified after burn), not one game before release date, or even within the first week of release (except maybe Forza 3, five to six days into the first week), and I flashed my Lite-On with an external power source and iXtreme 1.6.
No ban yet.

We decided that we are going to buy new Xbox's if we got banned and buy and play multiplayer games on the non-modded box and burn single player games and play them on the banned box. Now my question is if we use the same HDD and keep switching it back and forth between boxes will they ban the non-modded box for playing a burnt game on a different box? Or will they not be able to tell since we will not be playing the single player games on LIVE?
The new one won;t be banned for that, mostly because if the box is banned, you can't use anything you do on it. Any achievements you unlock or anything, will be corrupt by using that box, and you'll have to recover your gamertag through xbox live in order to use it again.
I'm sorry but I only partially understand what you are saying. Will we have to delete and recover our gamertag on the un-banned box everytime we play on the banned box and get achievements? I guess what I mean is can I play a burnt copy of Brutal Legend, get achievements and then take the HDD out and put in on the un-banned box and play a legitimate copy of COD MW2 on LIVE without worrying of the banhammer? Or will I have to get the achievements, delete my profile, switch the HDD to the un-banned box and recover my tag again and everytime? I'm a little fuzzy I am sorry but any help is highly appreciated.

Both of those games I ripped and ran thru ABGX and passed just fine. Played both of them with no problem. Both are Wave 3.
When did you do this? ABGX ran fine for me yesterday, but I seem to be having problems today.
just ran both again and all good

This is one of the methods I asked about in another thread but nobody responded. What I'm wondering is, if you try this and find that you are banned, will it still corrupt your game saves/profile and affect hard drive installs when you connect your hard drive back to the console, or do you actually have to try and sign into Live properly with your gamertag so that you receive the ban message and then that's where the game save/profile corruption and blocked install thing happens?
I can't really believe that MS would leave this loophole open, so people can check for bans without suffering any of the side effects (other than losing the ability to connect to Live obviously). It just seems too easy.

from what the guy in the video said, you don't get banned until you actually log on live. but I am too skeptical of this it just seems too easy... or maybe they will fix it soon when word gets around...

What we need is someone that's unbanned and has stayed offline who is willing to test this theory. If the connection test says that they're banned and hard drive installs etc. still work, then we're good. Any takers? ;)

I heard the checking to see if xbox 360 is banned doesnt work. They say it will ban your console anyways. I havent tried it though, does it ask to update everytime you test xbox live connection?

Someone commented on that youtube video saying
Quote: Waring, this method just got me banned, ms might have changed something since this video was released. I followed the guide, but after testing connection it never asked me to update or not, it banned me right away, and asked me if I would like to send the information or not.
Yes i did unplug my harddrive before I plugged in the ethernetcable and turned on the console.
maybe they found out?

Anyone still playing tekken 6, forza 2 and using activate.iso to play wave 4 games still not banned? I just scanned both of these burned games with abgx and they are stealth patched and everything.

if this did work, would this allow you to still play games on the "Banned" xbox and transfer over to a non-banned box so you can get achievements and all?

Someone on 360Mods.net said they found this on a forum today... He thinks iextreme.net but not sure... I hope this is true, I think it would prove my theory correct if the firmware actually is not detectable.
Quote: Just found this on another forum.... I don't know how much truth is in it, but have a read and let me know your thoughts.
"I was banned last night. Benq 1.61 no wave 4, no early releases. Was on the phone with M$ for 49:27 this morning to try and persuade them that i did not have a modded console.. Only information the would release to me was that a "specific server" does the "sweeping" of modded consoles, and that the "sweeping" started on 10/30/09 and would end on 11/13/2009. This is after talking to a supervisor by the name of spike... ROFL.. I swaer this is what came from his mouth. BTW no luck getting the console ban reversed. He said he did not have "the power" to perform that action. I told him He-man has the power can we call him. He chuckled."
Too sum it all up, the banhammer should be unweilded as of november 13th"

That's the million dollar question.
Morreale - I'd be sceptical of that info. If they did do sweeps that could pretty accurately detect modded consoles or copied games being played, why only do sweeps for 1-2 weeks per year and not all the time?

Cause I'm sure it costs money... Why not just let the system flags stack up and and then ban everyone just before Christmas so they can ask Santa for a new console? Microsoft is a stupid company after all, I'm sure they'd hold a mass ban wave now just to boost sales.
Although I think many will be asking Santa for a PS3 this time around...
