To a modder, the 100 bucks is more than worth the time saved doing multiple consoles. Besides, flashing is 100% profit anyway. There are no parts to buy/install. It's all labor. easy labor that will pay for the Lizard in 2-3 flashes. There have been literally about 15 times I've been on the road (I drive for a living), and someone happens to want their box flashed (After seeing my JTAG). If I had a Lizard at the time, well, you get the picture.

I honestly had my wallet out to purchase this item until I saw it can not use its main feature (USB extraction) on new Slims, although it is outstanding its able to read even the new 0225 drive, perhaps in a software update they can make the slims not require cuts but until then, no dice.

Slims don't need cuts only some fats. The Maximus tool can dump all drives including slim liteon drives.

Excuse my lack of lizard knowledge. So if im not mistaken here, you are stating I can put LT+ on a new xbox 360 slim (either drive) , with only having to connect the lizard into the front USB port?

there is no lt+ for the slim...not even any publicly released CFW for it.

Like wabash said, there is no LT+ or any CFW for the slim (yet). But when there is, you won't be able to siimply hook the Lizard to the front USB port. You connect it to your PC's USB port. You'd still have to take your 360 apart to connect the other end of the Lizard (sata) to your 360's drive. The Lizard simply eliminates PC sata cards, port i/o drivers, and trace cutting/repairing.

Is that both slims? I though the new Hitachi couldn't be read? This tool is looking sweeter and sweeter. Anyone know of a UK supplier?

i bit the bullet and ordered mine, i just hope now it lives up the hype! the reason that i decided to go ahead and order theres is that it comes with a power supply to power the drive, with the other unit you still had to have the ck3 connectivity or use the xbox, that was the deciding factor that pushed me over the edge. one thing i am wondering though is it says it has a probe for 7xxxx series, what if it has already been flashed with LTplus? will this probe work to read the drive or will cuts have to be made?

i just asked death and he said that it did not matter if it had been flashed the key could still be retrieved with the probe.

it is my understanding that they are still testing the software on the device, my opinion it could take over a week more to get shipments started.

meh I've never had any problems with my computer flashing, none of the problems with the liteon erase, am going to give this a miss, but props to team maximus for figuring out the no cuts, a lot of people didn't want to do the MRA hack themselves
