If you follow the NO VULNERABLE IOS FIX guide then it should work. You may need to try using a different SD Card.

Since i can not delete this files i can not complete the Hermes' IOS 222/223 step it just turns my wiimote off after i get past the warning screen and select IOS240

If you can not delete any IOS then you didn't do DOWNGRADE IOS15, PATCH IOS36 and DOWNGRADE IOS15 or you didn't do it properly. You need to exploit IOS36 in order for AnyTitleDeleter to work.

Confirmed working, every step.

Thanks Larry, and the plethora of developers working on the Wii soft modding project.

Like Larry says, if you have an issue, you did something wrong (or your hardware is at fault).

Thanks for the GREAT Tutorial. Thorough but straight foward. Got it down in about twenty minutes. I just don't see the channel Rev 6 for the game cube but will try again. I am not sure where to find the serial number on the console cause I don't got the box.

You load games with Neogamma.

You can find your serial on a white sticker on the bottom of the Wii (where the battery door is).

Thanks again, 3rd successful Wii modded using this guide, which I see has been refined and improved with the new sections (tidying up and priiloder)

Just one question for anyone.

One the DOP-IOS mod section right at the end I got distracted and upgraded IOS57 aswell.
The few games we've tried with neogamma have worked fine thou, but will this error come back to bite us in the proverbial in the future ???????

I just started experiencing a small problem with the Configurable USB Loader.

I used this tutorial from start to finish, everything went great !

Now, most of the time when I click on the C-USB Loader, it resets. (black screen with grey boxes, not a FULL reset).

Then I click on it again, and it works fine.

For what it's worth i followed this guide on my WiiKey2 modded first gen Wii NTSC-U and everything went perfectly. i had no errors and didn't have to redo anything. i started with a soft modded 4.1 and did a network update to 4.2. Like it was stated before if you are having problems its your hardware (which is not your fault obviously) or you did something wrong (which is your fault)

Larry, thanks for your speedy replies.
I have been very careful in following the guide as I do not want to
get flamed for not doing so.
So far I have used:
Lexar Multi-use 2gb SD card (2 different ones)
Canon 32mb SD card that came with my camera
HP 4gb SDHC
Results in the same error every time. I have formatted them in both fat32 and fat just to be sure. I really don't want to spend more money on cards. Can anyone tell me if they have this type of card and if it works, or just post the type of card you are using and I'll try that.

markdb77 pls post this in the usb loader thread.

I have just modded a Wii today and have this same issue.
But 2 Wiis I modded 3 weeks ago work great with USB loader.

I don't know why, but that is 3 people in the last few days having this exact issue !!!

Refresh the FIX Guide then make sure your using the proper WAD files after you refresh the page.

Your doing something wrong or your SD card is not compatible.

Everytime someone has an issue it ends up being a bad SD card or they missed a step.

Hi guys. Before I post, please excuse my ignorance. This is the first time I'm modding a wii on system menu 4.2. I already have my system modded on system menu 3.2. Here are my questions. What is the purpose of DOP-IOS Mod, and is it needed for this mod? Also, can I update to 4.2 from 3.2 using Nintendo or do I have to use another method. Thanks for your quick replies. I appreciate it

all goes well until the dop-ios part. ios9 worked fine but the 2nd and 3rd one failed. All the white writing flashes really fast but for a split second i see it say error making http request but its when it gets to about 9 or 10 out of the 15 content files. It also goes back to hbc then i have to run dop-ios again.

Im just curious to why you cant use the sdhc with the adapter, being that is what i have to transfer the things on my sd card to my wii. Ive been trying to find a way to play backups on the 4.2 fw for the last 2 nights and i havent got very far. Is there some kind of alternative method i could use? What would happen if i tried to do this on my sd card with adapter?

any forms of help would be much appreciated as those last 2 nights have been nothing but stressful. Thanks for any help anyone is capable of sharing

If all you have is a Micro-SD Card then try it. If you get errors during the softmod processes then you will need to buy a SD card. I say to use a SD card (not Micro_SD card) in the guide because when I first created the guide 90% of the issues users where having was due to using a Micro-SD Card.

Arrrrrrgggh! Still can't make this work. It must be a hardware problem as I have used 3 other types of cards and am still getting the error message when trying to do the no vunerable ios fix. I'm out of ideas, cash, and cards to fix it. Can anyone come to my house to do this for me? :) Error message says maybe you need an updated downloader...what does this mean exactly?

This guide worked flawlessly, and I appreciate you posting this.

I did have one question, I'd like to run the old Nintendo games, and things like that. How would I go about doing that with this softmod? My guess is i'd need an emulator, and then the game files and things like that.

Any suggestions or links or any help you guys could give me to assist me in this?

Once again, thank you for this guide. It was of a great assistance.
