Did you factory default the box after updating your firmware also that could now im not saying is but could be down to your set up check your cables etc and no splitters as this will degrade your signal
yes i factory defaulted the box etc but i am using 1 splitter

Hi all
have just updated to latest software am sure I was on the feb download so downloaded the new one via ethernet cable and did a factory reset and a scan all the channels loaded in fine but apart from the FTA ones all are scrambled !!!!!in the Glasgow area anyone else having issues or any advice ?

all my channels down in Newcastle im getting a bit cheesed off now its every time the football is on if there going to do service they could wait till the night time, never mind.

my discovery is on in teesside. i just had a quick flick coz thats all i am allowed my kv for lol so if discovery is working then i think its fair to say channels are on. she watches freeview celebrity juice! bang tidy

I'm going to have a go at putting new firmware on my Dads kv 780 in the next hour or two. Are the channels working ok at the moment or is there a server problem or something?

if you have the jan firmware on box you can do a s/w update with the use of your remote,previous firmware will need the null modem cable,have box powered of at back first before you hit download,then power on box it should take.
s/w update menu....system installation..s/w update ok,do not touch anything until box reboots.
anytime firmware is added factory reset box and rescan without lan connected,insert lan when channels loaded,power off box at rear also modem and router for 30 secs then on
all that typing for nothing lol

Thanks anyway cactikid. Got it working but i didn't "rescan without lan connected,insert lan when channels loaded,power off box at rear also modem and router for 30 secs then on". Will this affect it, like will i lose channels if i turn the box off?

lan needs to be in for s/w update,but it is advised to also factory reset and rescan from direct connection coaxial from wall as its a stronger signal.advised also to remove lan before scanning on correct net id and when loaded insert lan and power off box modem and router for 30 secs then on.
anytime you upgrade/flash you have to do the above,if not problems may happen.
no movies yet and others are missing also.

People if they read the information the update was NOTHING to do with getting extra channels at the present time it was a software update for the box only nothing more.

ssp 1 is on channel 511 i suggest people default there box turn off at the back then back on and do a new scan NOT JUST DELETE CHANNELS this does not empty the TRANSPONDERS

if you do your rescans at different times of the day you will notice that you will get varying amounts of channels i have found so far that morning is a better time to scan ...but for some reason sunday afternoons seems to be the best

I did SW update via Lan from 2010 sw to 04/11 software. Seems OK. Am I missing something?

you prob did from Jan file defo not from 2010 as that has nothing to connect to as its been switched off over 3 weeks now that firmware only file you could update to the april one is from the Jan file
