Carling 1.10 for Uk
PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTION CAREFULLY IF YOU DONT WANT DEAD BOXES WHEN LOADING THE FIRMWARE!
Load your file downloaded on to your usb memory stick, making sure its formatted to fat 32 first, then power off the box and insert the memory stick into the back usb socket on your box, then power on your box.
And From the main menu go to Utility, and then press the right arrow button, and select usb from the right hand side, you will see the Guinness/carling file then press ok on it and make sure to select SW+ALL DATA UPDATE..
The machine will update and restart (don't pull your memory stick out at this point)
you now need to scan your channels, NO SPLITTERS ON YOUR INCOMING CABLE WHEN DOING YOUR SCAN,then go to installation press the right arrow button again and go down to AUTO CABLE SEARCH.
all you need to do now is pick your symbol rate. (Your Area)
The symbol rate determines your area for example N*l is 6887, the other numbers are 6952 for Telepe** and EXc&w.
When you have selected your area go to start scan.

you will then see "K*yedit" appear on the right hand side, go to it and press ok and just check that auto update is on if its off just turn it on.
Then go to to your channels by exiting the menu and pressing ok..
Select a non FTA channel and leave it until a picture appears
PLEASE NOTE IT CAN TAKE UPTO 5 MINUTES TO UPDATE SO BE PATIENT

thanks for the post, could someone clarify the following please?:
1) Is this the starview 7?
2) Is the LAN method for UK, the same as whats been running in Ireland for quite a while now?
3) Does the box only last 12 months? (or subscription only last 12 months)
and finally..
If this works wonders in the UK, isn't this method better than the kryptview iconnect thingy me bob?
cheers

Answer
1) No Starview 6 box
2) yes
3) Yes after that you purchase a new box
4) Nope as there is no time limit on the Krypt thats the big difference and also the support
and finally at the end of the day the choice is yours 12 mts or No time limit

Someone has to pay the server costs and you cannot by a sub to it as that is illegal so simple way around that is to buy a new box no paper trail and totally legal from a selling point as boxes are sold as FTA units its what the customer does with it after that is the illegal part

yes combo works in ireland as well as long as you put the new file on it you will still only get 12 mts out of the cable side on that as well kryptview does not have that 12 mth rule so the choice is yours

as to what is on the first line you can not do until you load firmware on box
it may confuse people who are about to try and do it for the first time,

Hi, thanx for the new files you posted, but i just can't get the uk file to work and I'm at my wits end. Would really appreciate any advice you could give. Updated the box without any problems but when i try to connect to ustream i keep getting this message " Login is failed - Error (206)". Any ideas where i'm going wrong?

Yes, I've tried several times. The thing is the update seems to have gone well, just will not connect to the server and I can't figure out why.
