Hi, thanx for the new files you posted, but i just can't get the uk file to work and I'm at my wits end. Would really appreciate any advice you could give. Updated the box without any problems but when i try to connect to ustream i keep getting this message " Login is failed - Error (206)". Any ideas where i'm going wrong?
have you followed the instructions exact
Yes, I've tried several times. The thing is the update seems to have gone well, just will not connect to the server and I can't figure out why.

Yes m8 it is starview hd combo with lan. I've been searching forums but the only person I found with a similar error code(206) had mistakenly changed the MAC address of his box but mine seems correct as i've checked against the sticker inside the box. Can only think it's some sort of lan, router or firewall issue but don't know a lot about networking so I wouldn't know how to troubleshoot them. I managed to ping the box and got a reply and I know the cable going to my router is sound because I was able to use the home streaming facility.

are you letting the mac address automatically install!
also do you have the emu/keycode on also everything on inside it
and press reset data above that
in the osd setup do you have region uk
in network ip setup did you press auto and apply that
in net application = ustream
also cable & broadband in back of box

Hi
am letting the mac address automatically install.
Don't know about emu/keycode - Have
ACCESSORY > KEY EDIT > UCAS set to on
UCAS AUTOROLL set to on
Don't know if this is what you mean?
Don't have a region in OSD setup but have:-
SYSTEM SETTINGS > CONTROL PANEL > LOCAL AREA set to England
Not sure if this is the same thing?
Am on AUTO for IP SETUP.
Don't have NET APPLICATION but have:-
ACCESORY > NETWORK > CS NET set to USTREAM and connection status goes from
connecting to "Login is failed - error code (206)

I'm having a problem installing the Irish file on the box. Followed the instructions i.e. download file onto FAT32 USB then go into the Accessory menu but when try and install the file i.e. click ok, it installs about 20% then gives following error message.
Update fail. Please check your usb memory
I've tried different usb sticks so don't think that is the problem. Any ideas?

Download the file again, just in case it is a problem with the file.
Whatever you say, say nothing when you talk about you know what for if you know who might hear you, you know what youll get. Youll be sent off to you know where for you would not know how long. Maybe I could search through the threads so you dont have to ??

Did you format the usb device before you used it if not format the usb drive to fat32 then try the usb stick again

Think problem was that i have st*rview hd combo+ and this thread is just for combo? It's the wrong firmware in this thread.
Anyway, i've managed to put on f*rmware detailed in previous thread below but still not quite there as there are two files to flash at diff times and a bit awkward. Can you confirm that method in thread below is correct?

this file is for the combo + box not the combo, if ya used the wrong firmware ya would brick yer box

Back to original problem then that can't put the f*rmware at the beginning of this thread on the box... i still can't get it beyond loading 20% then it giving error message.

Not sure what to do from here. Does the method using the f*rmware detailed in previous thread (see below) that i managed to get on the box still work?

yes, HD chans are available from UPCCC, but there is not box currently getting them except there own

Yes, i formatted the usb to FAT32. I was able to load the other firmware onto the box, just seem to have a problem with the file in this thread.

how many files did you load on the box ??
you only need to load the file that is for your box either guinness or carling one
them files are for the lan hd box only so if you have the NON lan box the files will not work on that box so that is prob why you are getting that message

I first tried loading the fi*mware at the beginning of this thread onto the box but kept getting the error message i was on about. Tried 2 or 3 nights in a row. Then i searched the forum for the error message and saw other people were getting the same one back a couple of months ago (with the firm*are that was out at that time) but as newer f*rmware came out they were able to flash their box and prob went away. So i put the two files on per method in the earlier thread i mentioned. The box currently has that fir*ware on it.
Hope i haven't messed the box up by doing that. What should i do now? Factory reset and keep trying to put the firmw*re from this thread on the box?

ok if you are sure your box has an ethernet connection follow below
1 do a full factory reset on your box
2 format the usb stick again in your pc to fat32
3 get rid of any other combo files you have on your desktop so you cant get the next ones mixed up
4 download this file first and copy and past the file only to your usb stick
Old Combo file
5 when you have that done get it up and running then factory reset the box again
6 then download the file below and put that on your box then
UK FIX FILE HERE
7 then rescan your box and hopefully this sorts the problem out let me know thanks
