what area ya from jonalx7? im in scotland, dumbarton and get my signal from uddingston cos i dont get some channels like you i dont get syfi,e4 stv and the movies and few others all in HD though they worked for a week or so , i thought it was everyone that never got them. just wondering if its an issue wae some areas or not

What is your signal and quality level!, As that can affect some channels missing
Also do you have the latest file on your box!,
And are you splitting your cable either yourself inside!, Or did a technician do it outside to feed other tv's in the house!,
Also possibly those channels are not fully on nag.3!.

yer i have tried a few firmwares and there aint any signal slpiting, I just went to dads who has the same HD combo box as me and he dont get some of the HD channels like me. Id think the sky movies in HD would defo be on N3 + they did work then just never, though i can live and be thankful wae wat i do have.

all my channels have gone off apart from fta on hd combo only been active a day says login failed error message in cs settings bit in network.... ok on it starview 6 working fine down same cable/net/connection

one more question you mention carling v1.10 but i see theres a v1.20 with cccamfix is this the newer version for hd combo uk with lan thanx in advance sorry not meaning to ryme this

i have not seen this v1.20 so i cant realy say yes/no, also is that file for fixing your box if you block the mac address!
if recommended by some1 else then its up to your self to use
id try the v1.10 and stick with that unless having problems or recomended by some1 who is using a different 1

When you have selected your area go to start scan.
once the scan has finished go to menu then highlight accessory and on the remote press the numbers "8989"
you will then see "K*yedit" appear on the right hand side, go to it and press ok and just check that auto update is on if its off just turn it on.
Then go to to your channels by exiting the menu and pressing ok..
Select a non FTA channel and leave it until a picture appears
PLEASE NOTE IT CAN TAKE UPTO 5 MINUTES TO UPDATE SO BE PATIENT
After you have your box up and running you can switch it off and take out the usb device !!

thanx guys for your help,assuming i will still be given this box your help means a lot to me to do this right,as to the v1.20 about being a fix i dont know it doesnt say but its on two tool bars that have i have used in the past for my eurovox and had no problems until nag3.becuase this new box is new to me i will probably asking for more of your expert knowledge if ok with you guys many thanx

{b} please i just dont understand i ve the st view with the lan on the back but this new file u posted das it meen after i have put it on it and scan do i then need to put my internet wire in as well before it will work all i don't need 2 use the lan bite please explian for my i'q is very low on theys things and thanks for your hard work on helping me and other many tanks!!

you will need a router so you connect your starview to your cable then connect a ethernet cable from your router to your Starview job done

Hi i am on vm and have done all of the above to the letter and am only getting fta am i doing somthing wrong i have lan connected before i started when i am wating the five mins my lan has on orange light on i am starting to wonder if my box is ok if you can help me many thanks.

did you do the 8989 for the emu
also are you connected via the router or modem if modem ya need router
also it takes more than 5 mins to connect can take up to 20 mins sometimes more but you must leave it on 1 channel and not keep changing them
