from DHL site
Duties and Taxes - Receiving a shipment
Shipments sent from outside the EU may be liable for Customs Duty, Excise Duty and VAT, which DHL is obliged to collect on behalf of the Revenue Commissioners.
Goods are liable to VAT at the same rate as applies to the sale within the State of similar goods - usually 21%.
VAT is calculated on the total of 1) value of the goods for customs purposes, 2) the amount of any other duty or tax applicable, 3) any transport, handling and insurance costs between the place of introduction into the EU and the final destination within the State.
Gifts from one private individual to another up to the value of ?45 and commercial shipments up to ?23 are usually exempt from VAT & Duty. In all cases if the shipment is a gift then the accompanying proforma invoice should clearly state 'Gift' along with the usual details.
For one off shipments where the value of the goods is less than ?250 and the Import Duty due is less than ?10 then an exemption from VAT and Duty may also be granted to customers who are VAT registered.
Note that these exemptions do not apply to gifts of alcohol, tobacco or perfume where standard charges apply, even when they are received from another EU country.
For more information on Irish VAT and Duty please visit the 'Customs & Excise' section of the www.revenue.ie web site.

You will not get anything of the sort on here mate. Certainly not even allowed be talked about. And why would anyone give you that for free anyway!? It's called sharing, not giving. That seems to be the misconception of this method! It's called cardsharing for a reason. Some will say you will get something for free, I don't know about that.

Is there any maxium you can have on a card share?. I was thinking of setting one up some family members, say 4/5 and they will more than likely have 2/3 boxes each.
Also I understand that any DB 500s that I would buy would be a clone but is there any good place to buy one that sells a good one or are they all the same. I see some lads doing them in china for ?40/?50.
Thanks

Try www.linuxsat.co.uk. Also consider a HD box like the DM800 which they are selling for just over 150 sterling. I've used these guys and they are dependable.
My biggest concern with doing a big investment in this area is not that c/s won't work but i'm sure there will come a time (very soon) when it will no longer be possible to pair card to dreambox. Then your stuffed.

Agreed. There are other forums where this stuff is dealt with comprehensively. Its extremely dangerous to be asking for or promoting this type of activity. Where in the past it has been some fun for each individual to learn how to program a box to unscramble channels, the issue of openly advertising c/s brings in the element of depending on people you simply don't know. The best advice on this issue, should you wish to pursue it, is to keep it within a very limited group of well known friends, and not to broadcast it across the internet ie. this forum

Yes bdale2 your dead right in what your saying, ecs is a super site & if you ask nicely in the CCcam Exchange Free part of the forum you'll get a line - but as I've always said you need to have a card for the really good lines to come your way.

Thanks in advance
