i have my 500s set up and showing fta channels but i am now looking to cs. if anybody can pass me on cs site or server they are using and are happy with i would be very greatful. sites i have seen on net are looking for 20 yoyo's a month, is this the norm or are there cheaper options.

euroc*rdsharing is a gr8 site for learning, don't give your money away to a cardserver, plenty of glitches that will annoy the hell out you.....

Learn the game first then decide on what route you want to go - took me 2 weeks to get right, its not easy - but boy is it amazing when you open up the different packages from across the satellite spectrum.

Its a game for the enthusiast, someone who likes to learn, this is not like the old days of banging in codes and viewing for months....

If you don't want to learn well then don't get involved.

after reading this thread, seems some people may not be configured their DM correctly

C/S is not simple but needs a lot of time and patience, your DM needs to be connected to the tinternet, you will need the latest version of CCCam 2.1.3 in order to use the new Sky white cards, and use an FTP application to edit the files

also plenty of websites out on discussing use of CCCam.

remember, it may time time to get this working.

In my humble opinion all paid servers should be avoided like the plague.. most of the freeze and glitch. better off sharing between a few mates.. cccam lines manager will sort out c and f lines handy.

I use DCC program to connect to my box via a wireless router.. once there go into the cccam.cfg file. on dm 500s think its in var/etc folder.. delete everything in that file and imput ur c line if u have one save and exit.. if ur sharing with a mate use cccam lines manager. use ecs site to get tutorials etc.. time and patience u ll get there.

So bdale2 do you have a lan cable connected directly into your router? And do you have to do anythign special to connect dreambox to router?

Since my box super went a while back. I have been looking into this card sharing stuff. It seems to be a very good option.

I mean whats 10-20 euro a month really for what you get with these packages.

All the european packages are on these servers as well so basically any footy match if not on s*y is available to you through a foreign provider provided you have a motorised system.

I have a dish at the moment but its gone out of alignment(was pointed at astra 1) so kind of lost interest for a while but I will definately be purchasing a dreambox and motorised system and joining a sharing server.

Buy a card like Digitalb and share it mossy, you'll get everything for free without the constant problems that having only 1 line will give you - I've got 30 odd with my 1 card.

Yes, when I first started out I tested two servers & always had freezing when a movie was on etc... Very annoying.

Eventually got a decent viewing card for 200 a year and shared it since, once you have a card to share you'll get requests for it left right and centre, a card you get from a client is called a hop 1 - hop 1 rarely freezes. I've got thirty now & opening everything without hitch.

Nope. Never have with dealextreme. If your worried there is a small add on of 1c to have the package completely unmarked except to state its a gift.

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.1888

I didnt use it but the options is there at least.

Yes but would be liable for VAT @21% if over ?21 in value and imported from outside the E.U.

BTW a m8s package was opened and it was marked "gift" so they have copped on to this and he then had to send them the invoice for them to charge him!!

Bye JD
