sorry guys for double posting
most of the dreamboxes available seem to be clones, am i better off chancing getting one of these from one of the uk sat shops or am i better to get a Technomate TM-500 box?
can get one for ?119, any thoughts greatly appreciated!

google skywonder, wizzard sat to name two, there are HD linux boxs out, so I would be looking at those, if yu have a HD tv etc

guys if you cant even find the results yourself by doing some homework using a search engine you have no chance or more important the patience to setup a linux box. believe me it is head wrecking for the first few days and if you dont like round coffee stains from your mug of full shot caffine on your desk researching give up now. as 4 running as server with family friends having router and linux box on used very little watts and very little band width..

can anyone tell me how cardsharing with family and friends works do you need to clone the card or whats the story also is cardsharing .com a safe website to use and are the boxes ready to use when they come out of the box or do you have to do all this configuring yourself thanks

dreambox 800hd,..nice bit of kit, got one in from china google(kosda factory),.. a clone of course but 100% quality at half the price,

hi,
I am a new user, my dreambox has stopped opening non-free sites...
Some people told me that i should update the software. I havent be able to install an update (if i finf it)bcoz i dont know the username and password (they r nt the default ones).
I made a restore factory settings.
I need help to know how to find the image and in which directory i have to put it... plus how and from where i can get updates to upgrade my software...

If u have gemini image on it... download latest cccam.cfg from gemini server. then use dcc to edit the file (put in ur c line)

yea u should still have the same gemini image on it. blue button addons. download from gemini server.. then press Cccam latest file. download that. then set cam to latest as in latest date or 2

12 . then just re input ur c line using dcc.. null modem cable from ur pc to box or via a wireless router u can get the ip addr of ur box and edit the cccam.cfg file (var/etc) save and exit and all should be ok again
