Whatever you say, say nothing when you talk about you know what for if you know who might hear you, you know what youll get. Youll be sent off to you know where for you would not know how long. Maybe I could search through the threads so you dont have to ??

What are you trying to do? This is a thread about the starview 6 not the HD combo.

I wonder is anyone silly enough to use NTL/UPC broadband for connecting these new boxes.
NTL will easily be able to see their customers connecting to the starview cardsharing server IP address.

yes it would be a daft idea to use NTL broadband and the SV6 in the same home. wud be daft to think that upc do not monitor such pages and are not totally aware of what is going on. however if you use alternative broadband at least they cannot block your connection

There's one thing I would not do on CS, is buy into a sharer on a network that is in a land that I live in.
Just my 2 cents lads, I share on sat that does not directly effect where I live.
This forum is wide open - remember that.
Other than that, best of luck lol.

Hi,
Im a real noob so i just have some questions
After a really long time i have finally decided to cancel sky. I am in London and im going to get virgin media phone line and broadband. If i do this will i be able to use boxes like starview and eurovox because of Nagra 3?
Which is the best one to get and is reliable? I want it to be able to record programs like how sky+ does if that's possible and i might get two, one HD and one not, if thats possible?
Also will i be able to install it myself or do i have to get someone who knows how to do it?
And i am in a analogue area, i just did the virgin media postcode checker and it says i can get some of it's services like fibre optic broadband, home phone and tv. A few years ago i remember someone telling me that starview doesn't work in analogue areas, is this true?
Thanks

No once N3 is fully implemented the boxes will not work so you will either have to pay sky or Virgin if you want to watch Tv

of course they can check what you are on same as any BB provider they prob do this all the time but just dont tell their customers they have to have a way at looking or monitoring what you are watching downloading etc for obvious reasons

will they need to look at each individual customer or do they have some sort of flagging system to tell them who's using a box?
