@raiders79
Shrink alone cannot handle this movie, see site on problematic movies
http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=48842
Since you are getting CRC with Decrypter, and hope you have the newest version installed, then it is more than likely a bad disk, try cleaning it and if that does not work then take it back and get another original.

@terpethan,
Perhaps I was a little course BUT as you see, the answer was just 3 posts on top of your query. You might ask yourself, "Do pple answer the same question over and over ?" "Why yes we do." "Does it bother ?", I try not to let it, and so, I answer the same question, with the exact same answer, forum after forum, thread after thread sometimes page after page (now sometimes that does tweak my toes. When I have to re-post the same answer I just did because the page changed). But when I have to repeat myself every 3 posts . . . . ., there's no one on Earth that has that much patience. For someone who searched the Internet over yet couldn't read the immediate thread he was posting too . . . . well, yes I did jump.
I'm sorry that you felt I jumped too hard and without any cause -If you truly felt I was wrong, that there was no earthly reason for you to read the answer to someone else who had your exact problem, that it couldn't possibly help because it wasn't addressed to you, then I'm sorry . . . .
I shall try to adapt to the notion that answers to others has no learning value at all - Thank you for the insight -

Hi jd_hart, welcome to aD,
We need a lot more information besides what programs.
1. Your PC specs ?
2. a burn log ~
3. a complete story of what you did, when you got the error,
4. What did the error say ?
5. What media are you using ?
6. Burn settings (speed) ?
7. Do you have current firmware ?
8. A working ASPI layer ?
9. DVD's name ?
10. Is the DVD new or old ?
Information = Solutions
Let's get busy son and supply us with some facts ~

I had this same problem, but then I downloaded AnyDVD. Then I used DVD Shrink and DVD Decryptor. It worked like a charm..

I have been having the same problems with DVD Shrink. It is the latest version anybody know when a new version is going to be available. I really think that the more recent DVD movies coming out in the last month or two are more advanced not to read from DVD Shrink or decryptor. but has anybody found a new program to use just as easy as DVD Shrink.

DVD Shrink will not be updated, the developer now works for Nero. Shrink is still a good program and will encode and compress any movie. If you are having problems with protection then try trial of AnyDVD and Clone DVD2 from
http://www.slysoft.com
these programs work very well and at this time are the best I know of for breaking encryptions.
There is a new free program that merely rips and this is DVDFabExpress it is also free and available at
http://www.filepedia.com
under rippers.

You are incorrect on 2 points.
1. There have been no new encryptions since Feb. '05.
2. You aren't having the same problem. You may be having trouble with DVD Shrink BUT it is extremely rare to have the same problem and, in your case, impossible. Every PC is different as are the configerations, DVD's, etc.. The original propblem was,
Quote: I have been able to burn every DVD But 1.
You, on the other hand, are having trouble with many DVD's.
Answer the questions posed in my last post and we'll sea if we can be of some help.
Pete
(if I had just 1 centavo for every person who said, "I'm having the same problem." I could buy aD. Lol)
