I was able to copy this by using the reautur section of shrink,It appears that there are two movie files of the movie, the one I had to remove was the vts05vob(if you try to put this in the program stops.left it out and dvd burnt right thru, plays good too, just has a couple minute blank space before movie goes(I hit fast forward then plat and movie started right away.hopefully someone will write a fix for this soon

I didnt use the anylasis,I just click the re-authur tab, then clicked the dvd drive letter(mine is d)Give it about 10 seconds and it will read the disk then just play around until you find the file that sucks and dont add it.If you click only once on a selected file then hit the play button in the lower left viewer it will show you what that file has,I found three identical files(very large-1048574) and the second one was f ing the burn up,I left that one out a BAM,,,MOVIE no problem

I also noticed the 2 minute blank before the movie actually starts. I just used the start/end feature in Shrink's reauthor.

RE" resident evil 2 - I tried backing up resident evil 2 Apocalypse . No luck I tried some of the procedures people have posted on Afterdawn.com . No luck . I tried playing it on my Philips Dvd stand alone recorder - dvd-72 put the original dvd of resident evil 2 in player tries to read it stops ! attemps to go into record mode then completely shuts down! Wow !! thats what I call copyguard!!! It plays fine on my Apex 1010W ! go figure. THe kicker is that the second dvd in thr resident evil two set (Special Features dvd) copies with DVD Decrypter with no problem. For the main movie I will Probably Play it on my apex 1010W Route the av signal To my Terapin VCD Recorder then send the signal to my Philips dvd-72 Stand alone dvd recorder . I realise that this is a very round about way of achieving an end but it does work atleast for me! I would Prefer using DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink as I would normally but sometimes it ain't gonna happen . Hope SCuba Pete & The other Main Brains of Afterdawn.com cypher this one out . Till then I did it MY WAY ! Peace!!!!!

open DVD Shrink,in the top row you will see, open disc, open files, anylize, backup, full disc, reautor, click on reauthor,in the box(mine says my computer) choose your dvd drive(mine is D:/)Files will apear in the space underneath, you will have to click and hold on each file then drag it over to the box on left(you will get a meassage saying files blah, blah, blah, click okin the viewer area you can click the play button to view each file you drag over(they will anylize as you drag a new one over) You will get at least one file that wont anylize, just remove it because thats the file I find has the bug in it.after dragging all the files over just click backup and choose you file destination and watch it burn,Resident e vil appears to only burn in widescreen though and when you play the finished dvd you will get a 2 minute blank screen, just hit fast forward or play again and the movie plays. This should help you until the big guns here find a better way,I know they willour burning depends on them

Somebody said they used VOB blanker to do Resident Evil 2. Somebody else said they used DVD Idle. Somebody else said they used Super DVD Ripper., but nobody said HOW they did it. Just for us dummies, please try to be specific, and in plain language? Thanks!

YES, I ALSO SPENT HALF THE NIGHT GOING INSANE TRYING TO GET RESIDENT EVIL 2 AS WELL. I TRIED ADJUSTING THE SETTINGS IN DVD Decrypter, AND I TRIED OTHER PROGRAMS TOO. ANOTHER MOVIE I HAD TROUBLE WITH WAS THE SPIDER-MAN DELUXE EDITION, DISC 1 WOULD NOT COPY ONE OF THE VOB FILES. I ASSUME USING THE VOB BLANKER WILL SATISFY THIS ISSUE AS WELL. IF ANYONE HAS ANY ADVICE ON THESE 2 MOVIES, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. THANKS, EVERYONE!

These companies are doing everything they can to stop dvd copying but what they dont realize is its not profitable to buy a dvd ,copy it and try to sell it,I only make a backup for myself as I have children and quite often I get a broken dvd and i'm then S.O.L. so when I back it up I give them the copy.who cares then if the f it up,i'm trying VOB blanker as we speak but there are no real instructions as far as I can tell

EGIFT73,
Kill the CAPs. ot only is it rude and considered shouting AND it's in violation of our rules -which it seems you couldn't be bothered reading - I suggest you read them now !
RE 2 can be copied by using VOBBlanker -
http://www.iespana.es/jsoto/
It's pretty hard to use - put the movie files in input and make a folder to catch the output files in - Let DVD Shrink pickup the files and use as usual -
You may also use DVD Decrypter by picking up a PSL file, loading it into DVDD by way of "File" then Protected Secotors List, "Import"
Find the attachment here, 6th post from the bottom as well as directions -
http://forum.dvddecrypter.com/index.php?s=89e63571c3a59eb2cfa2d2d930c85a89&showtopic=14891&st=0
For "The Bourne Supremacy" -
AFA the Bourne Supremacy, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and one or two others - In "Unreferenced materials" select title 1 menus, there is a "Boy" running (in green shorts too). By checking him out in the "Preview" screen, you can see his outfit too. Sometimes DVD Shrink gets past it sometimes not -
If you don't make it past it then go to that Unreferenced materials select Title 1 menus - Then go to "Compression" select "Custom Ratio" then select "Still image" then try DVD Shrink again, it should slide right on through, like a hot knife through tender Turkey -
Happy New Year,
Pete

Thank you Bukem00, for your specific instructions! Now I can give it a try. Everybody seems to forget that at one time they were new, too and needed to be taught. I get real sick of the condescending attitudes (don't be lazy, read the threads!). I've been reading the freakin' threads for 2 days now and you're the first one to just give us directions. Thanks again! :-)
