@ Hurtsy & Danbooke,

Have either of you made a successful backup of God of War and if so, what method did you use?

Also, did you loose any of the content of the game (bonus movies, in-game renders, etc.)?

One other thing, can someone take a look at this log from DVD Decrypter and tell me why I keep getting this error message no matter what program I use (Nero, Alcohol 120%, DVD Decrypter) to try to burn on these DVD+R DL discs. I always get, "Incompatible format". It's driving me nutz!

Thanx in advance....

@ODIUM,

Did you by chance set the settings to a DVD9 (DL) back up on DVD Decrypter? Have you tried to back up with other DL media such as Verbatim DVD+R DL? I've used Verbatim before and they're pretty good, at least to the best of my knowledge. I'm not an expert, but it won't hurt to update your dvd burner's firmware, if there is any available.

@ Alkohol,

Are you talking about changing it to DVD+R DL booktype before ripping the image?

I tried ..
- creating an image of the original game with DVD Decrypter
- then, burning this image using Nero on a blank DVD (Verbatim, R-)

.. but my PS2 (ModChip built-in) did not take it :( :(

Why?!?

hi guys

cheers for all the help with timesplitters hursty, much appreciated. It turns out that whether it works or not depends on your version of ps2. It just so happened that one of the 1:1 copies i did was still in tact and i had a friend test it and it works fine.

this may help with others games

cheers again mate

if you are using swapmagic, then you need a TOC refresh to get it to load

if you dont know how, then check

www.swapmagicfix.com

or you could try extracting the image first, then rebuilding it,
to see if this reduces the size of the TOC,

if you need help doing that let me know
