I followed meyer_m's instructions to the T, but I get a no usb device when HDAdvance loads at the very end. I have a WDC WD800BB 80gb hard drive so I don't think that is the problem. I am using swap magic 3.6, on a non modded v12 scph-70012 slim ps2. I would appreciate any help? I used both usbextreme dos/windows utilities. Thanks
I apologize if this is the wrong forum for this question, but I've just started using USBAdvance. I've successfully gotten one game to run from my hard drive, but no others will load. All of the games I've attempted are listed on Xafier's List as compatible, with no patches needed. Do any of you know why this might be happening? I appreciate any help.
mine too, usbextreme loaded, and I can see games name, but when I choosed a game, nothing happened. I was using dos version to convert games. am I close to the success?
ps2 slim chipped with mars chip. boots USB Advance CD fine.

Maxtor 3.5" with 2.0 USB Enclosure
i format it, then format with extreme software. I install a game in. It is recognized by USB Advance in the menu. However, all the 3 games I tried, it says Loading but never gets to any other screen. Just stuck on the USB advance screen and says Loading.
The games are:
Grandia III
Winning 11 9 international
Naruto 3
i have slim pstwo 75001 - NTSC version. if I have understood this correctly, I only need swapmagic disc (no extra fittings - like the magic keyII, slim card pro etc), external USB HDD and USBADVN.ELF copied as SWAPMAGIC.ELF within SWAPMAGIC folder on my USB drive. Ofcourse, I will need the game copied through USB extreme. please let me know if this is correct ?
Can I have files other than games on my HDD ? Is it always necessary to format the drive ? can anyone post a screenshot of what the SM screen looks like once it detects the HDD ?
Last time ,I tried as your direction , but PS2 can not boot USB HDD.
My PS2 model is SCPH-75001 , Seagate 80Gb .BUT The console was installed mod-chip : MYTH CHIP - 600.
However , I do not use Swapmagic DISK to boot PS2.Is it correct ?
