Hi there, I am really stocked with this Nokia 6230 from France from STR which emei number is 356239000815062. The thing is that I am not that newbie and in fact I have unlocked already a few Nokias from my collegues at work, but today someone brought this one and what is really strange is that the phone doesn´t react at all with any code i put in . No restriction off, not error message nothing. I have read a lot in this forum and saw somebody had the same situation but not answer at all. So maybe somebody will know by now an answer to this strange situation.I also notice the phone is made in Hungary in case this could help.Thanks for your help.

I have a nokia 6230 IMEI: 353768006453976

Vodaphone UK. I generated and entered codes eg: #pw+821061466274600+7#
but nothing happens the code just remains on the screen I tried code 5 to.

Has anyone seen this before ?
Software is V05.35 maybe it no longer accepts unlock codes?

i found a solution to unlocking the phone which worked for me. it seems the code won't work on some models 6230 unless u have a sim in the phone. when i got it working the phone was network locked to O2 086 and i had a vodafone 087 sim in the phone when i tried the code and it worked. now if the sim has to be a different network to the phone i don't know yet. but try it wit your normal sim in the phone and if that don't work stick in a sim from a different network.
That should sort it out.
