I really dont think there is a need to remake ff7. Trust me i know it is my most favorite game of all time not just of the series. Thing is what made it so original was the fact that it had the blocky graphics and no analog control. That made it unique and at that time(1997) we were blown away by the stunning video graphics and how much power the story had coming from a video game. Remaking it would take that magic away that kept us mesmerized for 40 to 100 hours. Please leave ff7 in peace coz its memory is all we need.

Is this serious?

Do you all really think you got the skill to make a game up to FFVII standards even on the PS1?

LOL good luck...

It takes around a 100+ people to make a game. You guys are going to need a lot more people.

If at first you don't succeed call it Version 1.0

LOL it doesn't matter if they get more people. You need programmers/designers etc. that have experience in the industry. 2000 misfits couldn't make Pac Man...

pacman is simple. i made a game once called final element. they each lasted about 15 or 20 mins. there were i think 4, then the last one claled quest for the final element. the final element was the most kick ass sword one could ever use, and was thought to be only legend (made them when i was like 9 or 10)

But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

But Pac Man sold millions and was very addictive. Final Fatasy is far more involved.

Trust me, you can't make FF7. I done (basic) programming in C++ and Visual Basic. It took nearly an hour hour to write a program that popped up an interactive message, then opened the CD Drive.

So, it would take at least a week to make Final Fantasy *heavily used sarcarm*

They could use VB then it would only take two or three days!

or maybe licence an engine. i would personally like the unreal engine 2 or 3. then u have unreal-ed to make things with.

Yeah, I think it's something like $10 to use the Unreal 3 engine...

i like unreal, prolly my fave games. i didnt like the first unreal, but unreal2: the awakening pwnd! ut99, ut03, and ut04 were all great, but ut07 is missing bombing run, my favorite gametype :(

I think were going to make this happen. I like the licensing the engine idea. If we all pitch in we can pay the $10.00 fee. The olny problem I see is square might try to sue us.

They won't be able to, we could call it - instead of Final Fantasy we could call it Last Fantasia? and the main character shroud?

We need to try and finsih it this week though, as it will take an extra day to manufacture them etc.

why rip off so much tho? people wont like a stolen game. i would base if off the ideas of final fantasy, but have a new game. sure we can pay homage to ff7, but not completely copy it with the name or char names.

yeah... i thought about it one day, and the only thing that i REALLY want to see from the original FF7 is the summons. mainly Knights of the Round, Bahamut(s), and Odin. what would be a neat feature is to have the game play thru by itself (like a movie) or be able to view all the movie sequences in sequence. that would be something nice to see in videogames period. sometimes i just want to sit and watch everything go thru without having to go to the menu every single time. like God of War did with their videos. after you unlock that feature, you can sit back and enjoy 15-20 min of your game re-telling the story without any necessary interaction from you.

was it just me or were there no Chocobos in FF7:AC?
