Final Fantasy 7 Remake?

Hi I am new here so eeerrr... HI :P
-After watching the movie FF7 Advent Children I got the idea that the Battle System should be faster, but to make the battles faster the only option is to make the game an Action RPG like the Kingdom Hearts series.
-I also got this idea after battling Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2. I imagined that I was Cloud (Played as Sora) in Kingdom Hearts 2 against Sephiroth with the ??One Winged Angel?? running on the background made me enjoy the battles against him (Even if he was a difficult opponent)
So I hope that if they are going to make a remake of FF7 then I hope that you can control your character like in KH2

I got a idea we can all agree on. Since nobody wants to really change anything about FF7 except the graphics, and Square Soft is going to take FOREVER to even start on it, why dont they just make the PS3 adaptable to enhanching ALL Ps2 and Ps1 games! Meaning that the game's graphics will run smoother and tighter without all that "fuzziness" on Ps1 games. This way ALL the Final Fantasys can be somewhat "remade". I mean, it should be possible. Sony makes Billions of dollars already, not to mention that the Ps3 will be pretty expensive, they should be able to make this happen! Make the system capable of enhanching all of the Ps1 and Ps2's game graphics.

this was supposed to have been the idea when PS2 came out right??? it was supposed to smooth out the jaggies on ps1 games or something. what the diehard FF7 fans want is a PS3 version of that game. your 'idea' is not terrible, but it would have been even better if squarEnix offered the ENTIRE FF 1-10 on one single PS3 BD-rom. that would make someone happy.

Final Fantasy 7 Is My Favorite Game.I {and millions of others}waited about 10 years For a sequal and we got a movie.A very good movie by the way.I feel that the PS1 grapphics for ff7 were simply not good enough .The movie graphics looked as godd as the ps2 though.Very next gen for its day despite the fact that there were no voices .Try to remember this was final fantasys first truly 3d next gen game.I think they should remake the graphics and movies.keep the story.i also think that if such a remake was made that it should include the original with the new game to compare sonys first playstation to its newwest playstation, quite a difference id say.Anyway i signed that petition and i was the 8549 person to sign.I beleive if the petion ,and im sure they have other petitions ,reached 50,000 votes sony would consider a remake.As proballly 100,000 people all over the world wide would sign such petitons,the other people that didnt sign it who bought or wrote reviews or played this would top the millions.Thus if we reach 50,000 its a good chance they would remake it.

i really hope new ff7's graphic is same as the movie it gotta be so cool, or maybe it is cause the demo's graphics is the same as the movie
(wat da hell! i'm answering my self)
am i rite or wrong ppl? but i personally think its rite/tru cause ff13's graphics is perfect so the new ff7 should be the same tho

Dirge of Cerberus is going to look awseome. A first person shooter should be great! The game also has online and multiplayer mode as well so that should look great. Unless they change it to no multiplayer :(

i hope not but if it the same charc it'll be cool too if they can learn diff techniques and diff color of clothes and diff waepons etc that would be fun too or you can unlock the other charac after each mission or something like that

Yeah like all these other character for ff7 that are playable in multiplayer. Now that would be cool. But highly unlikly. Probably just Vincent Valentine and maby one other character. Either that or him in different colours or that you get to be a enemy that Vincent Valentine faces. These are all just guesses and assumptions so i dont know yet.

they already announced they are working on a redo of ff7 but it will not be on the ps3 because the tech demo they showed off was a 15 gig demo one hole blu ray disk

ya i think it's lame they're making sequels and prequels, but reamking the orignal would be tight. i loved the movie and FF7 was my favorite final fantasy. 9 was really good too, but overall the FF series it was one of the least big hits so if they did do a remake it would be 7 before it would be 9. there is a high chance they'll be remaking though, because of the huge hype after showing the tech demo and the high demand. excpect an ff7 remake after the FFXIII Fabula Nova Crystallis if any at all.

All you guys jump on the bandwagon... Final Fantasy 3 was what made the series what it is today, dont get it twisted. FF VII only had better graphics because of the ps1, but FF 3 paved the way for sequals such as VII-IX

ya because 3 hit it big in japan making it one of the most well know and recognizable rpg games, which from there made it spread into a huge series. 7 was one of the most revolutionary though, since it was first 3d FF and brought tons of americans into the series as well.

I love 3 also.. don't get me wrong... but the graphics didn't have an impact on my as far as 7 is concerned... I feel in love with the story, the characters, everything. If 7 was in 8-bit I would've liked it the same.. maybe more xD

In all seriousness folks, ff7 is a huge cashcow. SquareEnix knows this. They are yankin' your chain by pretending they aren't thinking/working on it right this minute. All their work on the SGI systems for the original game is intact & somewhere they are making it all in blessed HDMI format w/Tifa's big'uns & Aerith's cute arse to get you all sweaty.
FF7 will come. But will it meet YOUR expectations? That is the bigger question.

the old ff7 goes beyond my expectations..its still soo good and beautiful. the only fear i have for the new ff7 game is if they change the gameplay up, and mainly if and how bad/good the voice acting/dubbing will be. like if they do voice overs (which im sure they will) i hope it gives the option to change it to japanese with subtitles.

I would be happy if the FFVII update only feaures better graphics, nothing else. Voice overs, a new battle system, and an extended battle system will kill what I loved a few years ago.

i agree. i don't want a new battle system or voice over. but if they do, do voice over then i hope you can change from english to japanese, subtitles to no subtitles.

The only thing I disliked about FFVII was the time it took to level up materia...For later level materia, it tood far to long when the strongest enemy only gave you 3 AP points. I wasted dfar too many hours of my life leveling up KOTR and Ultima; i can only hope that Square devolops the materia system so I dont spend half my time playing the game so I can pull off decent materia combos. I dont like to cheat, but I was at that point when I figured out it look 5 hours repeatedly beating baddies to level up my materia. FU@% THAT!
