try using another movie and see if this happens again, if not then it's maost likely the movie.
Try cleaning it.

That DVD has over 3 hrs of information on it. You may be at the edge of your Disc. If your using shrink, set it to compress to 4350 to 4400 m. If it's encodeing to the hd first, then you may be running low on space.

I was able to burn Season 1 Disc 1 and 2. Im using CloneDVD should I just try and set the compression more? Would that make it maybe work? Has Anyone been able to burn Disc 3 of the First season of the Sopranos? I also have over 34 gb left on my hard drive so its not running out of room on the hard drive. Just to make sure I want to say again that it reads fine it just messess up during the burning process.
Thanks

I have backed up all 5 seasons of the sopranos with no problem, you more than likely have a bad disk, try cleaning it, or take it back and get another original :~)

I have used DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink for the first two seasons, but then for the last three I used AnyDVD along with CloneDVD2. I was backing up the full disk for the first three seasons, but for the last two have split them to two disks so as not to have any compression. With CloneDVD2 you can split to two disks and keep fully functioning menus on both disks. I use Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Maxell and Sony media. The only time I experienced any trouble backing up was with one of the disks that was dirty, I cleaned it and it worked fine. :~)

I tried it again this time with a different movie CSI Season 1 Disc 6 and it did it again I think its the media Im using? Iam using Sony DVDs I bought it in a 50 pack for $30. Most about 75% of them worked great. I heard that there are two Sony DVDs how can I tell if I bought good ones? What are some good DVDs to buy in bulk Im going to walmart tomorrow and dont know if I should buy the same ones or a new brand can some one give me a list of what are some good and bad media?
Thank you
Edit: I forgot to mention I tried to burn the CSI one with different media and it worked great.

@staabie66
If you say you burned on another media and had no problems then yes it is your media. Sony is a good media, however maybe you need to check and see if the firmware for your burner is up to date, because this could be why you are having difficulty with the Sony media. Since you have no problem with your other brand then stick with it. :~)

After I posted my last message I went and tried to burn the CSI one again this time with the sony media I was using before and it worked perfect. So could it be that I got some defective discs mixed in? I went and tried to download firware at Liteo On but there was none for my dvd burner? So I dont know what Ill do Ill probably just go and get some more sony and see how it goes? Thanks to everyone for the help. If I shouldnt buy the sony ones somebody let me know quick please as Im going to go get some dvd-r in a 3 or 4 hours.
Thanks

I recommend you try Verbatim, this is a brand that Lite-on really likes and is top quality.

I went to walmart but they didnt have any Verbatim so I just went with the Sony. Right when I got home I tried it this time with the 4th disc and it read, burned, and played back perfectly. Now I am more then positive that there was something with Disc 3. Once again I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the help.
