hey guys..
first of all to all of you at afterdawn..great job..ive looked u guys up for many of my technical problems..and here i am once again with fantastic four.i followed Aminion's guide..and it works great..i mean heres he thing im presuming i followed his instructions correctly..i extracted with isobuster,used cd/dvdgen 2.0 recorded the new image went to dos and combined the files into one.the size of the image was also about 1gb less. burned it..and it worked to the point of when the fantastic four logo appears..thats all..its stops ther.i would appreciate any kind of help as to let me knw what im doing wrong.i pretty much think i folowed everything..but if i missed somethin let me knw.
oh i forgot to mention im using dvd+r....could that be a problem?

hey Jav
well i didnt really download the iso..im using ,y original disc. i used dvdcrypter on it to make it an iso and then used isobuster to extract data. u will also need sony cd/dvdgen 2.0 to rebuild the game.well im not sure wher u can download it but remember ur only supposed to make copies/backups of games that u own..

hey juv3nle
ur talkin bout the game fix for F4 rite? i dont understand how to use it..i downloaded it..and it asked for the path of the iso...i did that..hit start...and wat after that? do u stll need o rebuild it or jus burn it after that?

wen u get the fantastic for patch unrar it in its own folder then stick the iso the you hav from the fantastic four game. then choose the path where it says browse... then when you find your iso click ok then click start it should taake around 10 minutes. then i burned it and it still doesnt work i got so man i don't know wat to do. well if it helps im using dvd+r.thanks. plz respond

hey gnie..
jus to get this straigt...thats the order you arrange before you rebuild with dvdgen or before u use the patch on the iso..? im jus confused and sorta frustrated at my numerous attempts at the game. i mean it loads till the fantastic 4 logo and then freezes. when i put the order in dvdgen while rebuilding it was like this:
DATA
MODULES
SLUS20615
SYSTEM
so u jus want me to switch the oder and then try burning it? will that make alotta differnce?
and juv3nle it looks lke i did the same thing for the patch..and i think gnie was the one who made the patch so maybe he cn help us more on this topic?

if you using cdvd gen to rebuild the .iso, the iso size should be below sm toc. then doesnt need to apply the patch.
try to burn your game on dvd-r not dvd+r, and use good dvd media.

ok...ill try and use dvd-r,
my stupid brother thot that dvd+r was dvd RW
ill run out and get some today..also ill try it again with the new order and see if it works..but according to your patch..extract the patch into the gaem folder.run the patch..an then burn..so ill try that again with the new file order...

hey every1 im goin to do everyone a favour im goin to make this fantastic 4 game a torrent cuz i jus got it to work so we can just finish this forum and by the way i download mine and it jus worked all i wanna kno is why the patch didnt work

I dont understand this part in step 3 "From here just copy them in the same place as they were in isobuster."
I have the game in .ISO and .TAO files.

this is wat aminion meant..when u opened isobuster u probably saw the files in this format on the right side of the screen:
DATA
MODULES
SLUS20615
SYSTEM
what he means now is when u open cd/dvdgen 2.0 drag these files which u extracted into the screen(of cd/dvdgen2.0) so that it looks the same as it did in isobuster...i hope that answers ur question
so in cd/dvdgen 2.0 this is what it should look like
DATA
MODULES
SLUS20615
SYSTEM
see its the same as in isobuster...well thats my explanation..post back if u dont understand

Okay i burnt it and it didnt work...i put it in my ps2 and it just takes me to my browser screen with my memory cards...it says "Playstation 2 disk" but it keeps going to my browser...i dont know where i went wrong!

This newbie realized something that a newbie does...LOL...this topic is for magic swap...i dont have magic swap...i just have it modded...all i did was burn .iso image with DVD Decrytoper and i read scorpionK's post and i had a sonic disk so i installed and burnt and im playing my burnt version now..LOL...im so dumb!

ok so i followed ur first two steps perfectly...downloaded the files from where u said i have all the programs
when i go and to cdvdgen...instead of two errors and then the recorder popping up, i get the error and click that oen twice, then it says initialzation failed or somehting on teh lines of that...but once i let it record i only get a f4.iml and f4.ims file...not seven or anything like that? what do i need to do...and when i extract the iso, do i have to extract the iso and the wdf part on the disc
anyone knwo what to do?
ps2 running swap magic....
currently playing - arena football
2.6 psp running eboot gta exploit...
currently playing snes and genesis roms for now

hmmm
lets see..u said u followed the first 2 steps correctly rite?
alrite lets go thru it again
first u got the iso rite....?
good use isobuster to extract the data and store it somewher on ur hard disk..next open cd/dvdgen and and copy those files in this order
DATA
MODULES
SLUS20615
SYSTEM
once that is done u hit record..it will ask to save the file in iml format first i think..or ims im not sure..one of the 2..oh yea...and u get the errors...and ur rite...u get a 3rd error saying initialization failed or smthn..then when the new window opens up goto file-->export image
it shud ask to save the file again in some format...either ims or iml... and now remember to name ur iml and ims file the same.. as in if ur iml file is f4.iml ur ims file should also be f4.ims
with that done hit record...if u hv done these steps correctly after the image is recorded u should have f4.000, f4.001, f4.002,f4.003
these files should be ther in the folder u saved the image..check it out and leme knw..

easy to build the iso with cdvdgen,just export .iml and save as f4.iml
then you my new tool DVD_IML2ISO_GUI_Edition_4 ver4.01,
you can get it here http://www.alucard.cc
then just run the tool,click the browse... button and select f4.iml,
then press start button,wait until rebuild f4.iso done.

do i ahve to combine them or just burn teh iso...i tried liek 10 times and havent gotten f4001 or anything like that
the iso is also 3.09gb
