Ok, if you're here you probably already have a modchip, swap magic, or some way to make your backups boot but sometimes i just hate to swap my discs to make them boot and can't buy or install a modchip and the E.Z.I's don't work on my ps2 because i already have the Sbox/Neokey for my PS2 when i first came out so i want to make a self-bootable disc. The technology might not have been avaible back then so everyone quit but since it's been 5 years and in technology's time a lot of things can happen so this might be possible.

I don't remember where i got this from but PS2 disc can't be copied because of parts of the PS2 has intentional unreadable sectors that our dvd drives either can't read or fixes automatically. The newest version of anydvd has a feature that can copy unreadable sectors of dvds. So can anyone out there with anydvd 5.2.6.1 test my theory or some experts tell me why it can or cannot work.

Also can anyone tell me has people been able to make self bootable ps1 discs? I saw this forum and i'm not sure about it: http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=48477&page=1&pp=25
