Just noticed the Slysoft site has posted an AnyDVD update. Go here to get it;
http://www.slysoft.com/en/ Change log;
AnyDVD History
5.2.7.2, 2005 07 04
- New: Added support for a new version of the "Sony ARccOS
protection" as found on "Hitch" R1 (US) to the
option to remove "Protection based on unreadable Sectors"
- Fix: Problem introduced in 5.2.4.2 - not all unreadable
areas of ARccOS protected discs were replaced with dummy
sectors
- Some minor fixes and improvements
Just noted that I typed in the version in the title incorrectly, couldn't find a way to change, sorry about that, it is version 5.2.7.2!

I have a purchased copy of AnyDVD and never have got an email notifying an update. Rarely reboot so get no update notification there.
Moderator please free to delete this thread as no one here seems to feel it is of any use.

@kringles Hey man, don't worry about it. At least your trying to help. You'll see a bit of sarcasm on here from time to time. Welcome to the forum if someone else hasn't already welcomed you.

Hey, no problemo, I can take a joke or some sarcasm. I subscribed about a year ago and have learned a lot from this forum. Also have made a few (30+) posts that I hope have helped some.
Remember just because someone is classified Newbie on a particular forum doesn't mean they are new to computers or the subject matter in the forum.

Honestly ... I did not intend to be sarcastic.
I've seen a few threads about updates for AnyDVD, some posted in DVD-R for Advanced users (the wrong forum BTW), DVD Ripping and Software discussion.
I was really wondering if it helped. As I said, when I boot up AnyDVD prompts me that there is an update, and if people have that turned off ... they should receive an email.
