I just tried to copy GoldenEye on my NEC-3500AG. DVD Shrink gave me some error about one of the sectore being copy-protected. No big deal, I fired up AnyDVD and started it again, yet when the analyses finishes, DVD Shrink shows the disc as being 5780mb! No amount of removing audio streams will make the backup small enough and I can't change the video compression either. I've been able to copy everything else so far with my drive. Any ideas?

You could also try editing the star/end frames to increase the quality so Shrink won't have to compress any more...

I've kind of figured out a way to copy the disc. Use AnyDVD to automatically remove the encryption and then use DVD Decrypter in ISO Read mode to create an ISO of the disc to your hd. The ISO file turns out to be about 7.8 gigs, so I'm assuming GoldenEye is a double-layer disc? That would explain why DVD Shrink couldn't copy it. I guess I'm going to have to splurge on some double-layer media now :-(

Just open the ISO in Shrink by going to File/Open Disc Image and then you can shrink it down to fit on one DVD5 disk

If that is a James Bond movie - and the special edition of that one - there is a known problem with those discs regarding a false space error that will give you some shrinking problems in DVD Shrink.

You can read how to fix it in DVD Decrypter in this link: http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?postid=267300#post...

WTF... You cant use any HTML tags in here...
