It's DVD5 (single layer). I haven't had a chance to burn it yet, so I dont know if it requires patching. I wouldn't imagine it does, looking at the files. I also have SM 2.0, so I'll let you know my results when I get them.

Backup successful. No patches, no rebuilding needed. Ripped with DVD Decrypter and burned with DVD Decrypter at 4x on Sony DVD +R. Everything loads up smoothly and beautifully with Swap Magic 2.0 on V7 PS2.

I tried backing up MADDEN 06 with dvd decryptor. I got an iso that is 3.15 gb and then i burned it on a dvd+ and played it with my v5 ps2 on swap magic 2.0 and it loads up with a blue outline but it stays at the load screen with the Quarterback. How can i back this game up successfully. I had a similar problem with madden 05 but it just lagged alot.

Anyone got a cover for this game. My dog ate mine. I tried to glue it back together, but then a giant eagle flew down and grabbed it. I know what your all thinking 'How unlucky is this guy' . Well now I have this great game and no cover. If anyone has the cover can they let me know. Cheers!!!

okc112: Just a straight 1:1 copy should be all you need to get it to work with 3.0. Rip it and copy it on quality media.

aldahiri1 Your media is crap. Get something like Verbatim, Sony, Ritek, Fuji or other quality brand media. This game loads just fine. Keep in mind that on initial load, the screen that shows Donovan McNabb does stay there for a while before it checks for the initial memory card save. I'd re-burn it on better media.

fgs5365 Try looking at www.cdcovers.cc for the cover. They are the exact size of the DVD Jewel case and print out just the right size to cut. Make sure you set your printer on photo quality. And watch out for those eagles... they can be tricky.

I burned madden 05 and madden 06 backups on Phillips DVD+R at 2 and 8x speeds. using sm 3 to load. I allways get the same problem: Hangs up alot, laggs alot, and music/sfx are choppy.

anybody know whats up?

can the write speed make a difference? and the phillips media is ok right?

write speed makes a huge difference. I did mine at 4x. Thats where I usually stay. Too fast or two slow can lead to choppy video and skipping audio.

I dont have any experience with Philips brand disks. Put the disk in and load up DVD Decrypter. Select ISO Read and it'll tell you who actually made the disk on the Disk Identifier (The right hand of the screen on the upper window of Decrypter). What manufacturer does it say Philips disks are?

well I get my backups for my PS2 from the following website http://www.backupmasters.net so I'm trying to find out if certain games such as Madden 06, NCAA 06, GTA San Andreas, Fifa 05 and others will work on my ps2 with the sm3.

Well, I know that Madden 06 and GTA: San Andreas both work with SM with no problems what so ever. I haven't tried NCAA 06. I know that Fifa has problems and needs to be patched properly to work. I'd be careful with that one.

Bench.... I haven't heard of that manufacturer... someone else might chime in and say whether or not that's a good brand or not, but I personally dont know who that is. If need be, (if you're in the US) Target is having a sale on a 25 spool of Fujifilm (made by Rytek) DVD-R disks for $9.99. If you can, I'd get a couple of either Verbatim, Sony, or Fujifilm disks and use that. I haven't heard too many people on here using Philips disks.

okc... wow... you sure know how to make someone work for what they do. =P

I dont know about all the games, but out of what you listed, I have successfully backed up and played the following with no problems.

Area 51, Destroy All Humans, Psychonauts, Devil May Cry 3, Need For Speed Underground 2, Midnight Club Dub, and Ace Combat 5.

I don't know about the others cuz well, Delta Force is not my type of game so I never tried, Dynasty Warriors got boring after 3 for me, Not a soccer fan, Boxing games dont appeal to me, Already have the original of Splinter Cell, Dont like fps on a console for Time SPlitters and Killzone, and dont really like 2D fighters... they feel outdated, so dunno about Marvel vs Capcom either.... sorry. Just my opinions, so dont let me discourage you from getting these games. =)
