Hi, I've never had a problem with AnyDVD since I purchased it. I use Shrink to burn. (I also have Nero6) I have updated my firmware, uninstalled, reinstalled both AnyDVD and Shrink, but for some reason AnyDVD will not break the codes anymore, either from my new movies I purchased or from a burned DVD. I get a message: Failed to read DVD
1. DVD media is dirty, try to clean....(it is clean)
2. DVD is damaged, need to replace...(done, I get his msg with all DVD's)
2, Your drive is a region locked RPC2 drive, which does not allow reading of scrabled sectors from a different region and you try to read a DVD from a different region.
4. Your drive is an RPC2 drive that has not yet been assigned a Region. Try to assign one, or try to find a RPC1 patched firmware at http://www.rpc1.com (I did find a patch, didn't make any difference)
I have RPC1 and AnyDVD always made sure I was, it would break all codes and then I would be able to burn a DVD, but not anymore. I just can't figure this out anymore...HELP!!!! please

I would like to thank everyone for their help, I believe it is the drive as well now. I have uninstalled/reinstalled, checked the settings, updated firmware, cleaned the drive several times, so there is nothing else I can do...will replace the drive. Again, thank you all.
