i understand that high speed USB is fast but i dunno about fast enough to send HD-DVD Game data without any hickups...it would probably work but i just dont know how good it would......

halo 3 isnt cancelled. if it is why the hell are we still going on about it. why would bungie cancel a game that wouldl bring them a lot of money in?
o and theridges, as i said earlier someone should try a modern pc game throght a modern external dvd drive. and as said before a 2 times hd dvd speed is like 80 meg per second. thats enought for it isnt it.

Why do you even want HD DVD games? There would be basically no advantage to them, because devs are going to use compression techniques to get it to fit on a standard DVD, and as I have previously stated, there is no noticeable difference between uncompressed and compressed using the newer compression techniques. So you want to pay extra for no real difference in games, plus sacrificing load times? Plus the fact that it may not even be possible to run games in an HD DVD drive using a USB 2.0 connection. Don't base your opinions off of rumors off of what other people have said; I know it's hard to discern fact from fiction with so many stories going around, but if you're not going to take the time, don't bother trying to keep informed at all.
Here is what is officially known about the HD DVD drive:
1) There will be an HD DVD drive for Xbox 360
2) It was never denied by MS, and was announced at CES in January
3) It will connect via the USB input to play HD DVD movies
4) Pricing and release date will be announced at E3
And that is it.

how does hd-dvd or bluray sacrifice load times? seriously. explain this to me. really.
and have you seen the dif between compressed textures and uncmpressed? plus loadtimes
with uncompressed will increase because it take the system less time to get the info.
also, dvd, hd-dvd, and bluray all dont go over. you would need a 13x bluray or hddvd, and
you would need a 369x dvd drive, to even press limits on usb2.

anubis66, your right, sure attenuate, the xbox 360 has so much power to compress things but there again; longer loading times, and anyway a dvd costs more to make because of its design.
sorry anubis66, cant answer your question because i havent really reaserched your question, but i do kow that they will bring our faster hd dvd drives and bluray dives, so sometimes blue ray will be faster, sumtimes hd dvd will be faster ect.
but did you know hd dvd discs cost less then a normal dvd single layer because of the way the dvd is ddesigned. the hd dvd drive uses modern tecnolagy which makes it cheaper o build ect.
yes they can compress data but on hd dvd imagin howmuch they could add onto the game even if the comppressed it on hd dvd giving them like 100 gb. the grapics, game play and otherr aspecs of the game would be exerllent.
so i reacon it would be better.
o and why are we fighting iver what media bungie should produce halo 3 on anyways?
even though i probaly started it lol.

yes we willl all play halo.
im not a lover of halo just so you know.
id like it if i was good at it bt coz i got the game late i turned out to be rubbish at it, everyones already to good for you to adapt to the game so hopefully with halo 3 if the game plays a bit diffrent i might have a chance of getting good. (yay)

thats that is my biggest problem with a game. unless you own it from day one and play it every day like most the ppl online, that you can never really adapt to the game. this is because you always get wasted before you can test your skillz and the level rating system should only allow one account per one xbox so ppl dont make new accounts to have a noob level and waste them.

egzacallly, thats why im getting halo 3 first day its out
,that way i might get good at it. like call of duty 2 i got it at xmas (when most othre people got it),and im quite good at that online. but halo 2, everyone is already so far adapted to the game i have no chance of adapting, and yes even in matchmaking traning.
so even in traning levles everyone is o advanced for me. i dont see what the point of getting the game was.
the only think im good at in halo 2 is doing glitches.

i dont own an xbox, but i'd play it at my friends alot. but since he desnt game anymore..he just gave me his games cept for espn football and ill bring them to my dads (he has one).
i am the greatest at timespliters:fp for ps2 online. i joined a server starting 7 kills down (stupid halo 2 wont allow in game joining) and in a 30 kill match won by over 10. but ive been playing the ts series since 7th or 8th grade. then i wonder why i suck at unreal 2k3/4 online if ive owned it so much..prolly the same reason i suck online with cs:s, the people play just too much. get lives ppl! pwn your girl instead of me.

Well well well
you guys heard that there may be a trailer of Halo 3 at E3. Hmmmm...
I just want to say that Yes, I too heard it from gamespot. that there indeed will be a Halo 3 preview and that it may be scheduled for a March 2007 release following the Halo movie in summer. reports say it may indeed come out several months before the movie hits theaters.

e3 is on may 9th, and g4 is basically the gamers tv channel. it has many interesting shows like brainic and x-play. but every e3 they go and roam it seeing whats going down.
