I have AnyDVD but I do not know how to use it. Is there a user's manual or some kind of instructions going around as to how to use it.
I will be using DVD X Copy Platinum to copy the dvds so can someone please give me some help. I tried to go through Slysoft but all they do is send me back the exact copy of the message I sent them. They are not giving me any support.
Thank you

Anydvd runs in the backround and takes off copy protection. In this case you would click on AnyDVD, then open up DVD X Copy Platinum and start burning. If that doesn't work, I would recommend getting DVD Shrink (which you can get here under software) and Nero (www.Nero.com). Post back if your AnyDVD and DVD X Copy Platinum doesn't work or works.

I put the movie in and started AnyDVD but when I attempted to copy the movie with DVD X Copy Platinum it is still telling me that cannot copy the movie because it is CSS protected. Am I doing something wrong? I need some help. Please help me.

@josephox, Hello, AnyDVD runs in the background. I keep mine always enabled, that way whatever dvd I place in the tray, AnyDVD simple (fox) turns from red to pale red then back to red, saying that you can then copy your movie. I have X Copy Platinum (No longer use it because I found other progs that have better quality, but I had it, it is still installed and after AnyDVD does its thing I then open X copy and it goes through it's questions and then I begin to process and copy. Some say that x copy and AnyDVD are not compatible, but I have not had that issue. I would suggest that in settings menu that you click the auto start and then make sure under the tab labled drive that they are clicked. I have dual burners and they both show up on that screen which means AnyDVD is doing it's job and x copy can then do its job. Hope this helps.

@josephox, I agree with the other ad members that x copy is old and there are some great progs. that do a great job. In my own opinion a much better job. I would suggest trying the trial download of CloneDVD 2 from www.slysoft.com, Recode 2 from Nero is good, and I also like Intercopy 3 from Intervideo (Some have had issues with the re-authoring, but hopefully with copy 4 they have corrected these issues. My personal favorite, as is with many at ad, is Rebuilder pro/CCE Basic. Does an amazing job. The CCE Basic costs $, but the free encoders that come with Rebuilder do a super job as well (HC by Hanks, QuEnc). Just some info that might help make things easier.

I asked Slysoft a simple question about 5.4.4.1 such as the software's episodic support and got no answer. I asked again, no answer. I have sent other simple e-mails to Slysoft, never get an answer. Is this typical of this company?

Josephox, I use AnyDVD with DVD X copy Platinum on a regular basis, and generally get good results. I have not gotten a message that the movie is write protected. Try playing the movie- just for a minute or so- then try copying it. I have seen where this has worked for your problem. Good luck.

Josephox, I'm no expert on the previously mentioned copy programs, but I recently downloaded a trial version of 1 Click DVD coupled with DVD43 which I also downloaded. They seem to work fine. Give them a try, at least you're not out any money if they don't work. FLong
