And i can't wait to see the looks on the faces of all the downloading kids when they realise that socom 3 backups can't be played online just like socom 2 :D

I also need the last three sets of hexadecimals for the Socom 3 DNAS. I know it probably has a DNAS protect system, but I just want to try a few thing with the file I just downloaded from a torrent.

Socom 3 is available now, u just have to look in the right places :D, although i aint getting it cos Socom is a bit lame :P

this is what i have figured out so far, you cannot play Socom3 with a modchip or Swap magiv 3.6, but oyu can play Socom 3 with Swapmagic 2.0 and 3.0. Does this work with swap magic 3.3?
can anyone confirm this?

AFAIK, most games can be played online if you are careful. A few weeks ago I stumbled upon a hex randomizer. I used it on NCAA Football 2006.
You just have to find someone who can give you the standard DNAS info for SOCOM3. Then, you use a randomizer (or guess, if you can't find the tool --- I CAN'T FIND IT, DAMN). Hit it a few times, take that DNAS and patch the dvd iso. Burn and play.

Has anyone managed to make a working backup of Socom 3 just using the DVD Decrypter Read and Write method?? I don't care if it doesn't work online, I just want a working backup. If you can't use the read and write method, could you please tell me how to make a working backup of it..Thanks

socom 3 backup will probably not work online and give you a "cheat device error" like in socom 2. Although a few people say they were able to play socom 2 backup online. At first everyone could play it the backup online and when the newest patch came out people were bring kicked off the servers for "cheating device error" which was due to modchip I believe. So, maybe it's true that swap magic owners can play their backups online but I can't comment on that 'cause I don't have swap magic nor do I like socom. So, if you wanna play socom 3 online just use your original.

I get DNAS Error (-864). Never seen this before. No "cheat device detected" warning. Does that mean that the hex I chose for my ID is the same as someone else's who is currently online? I don't really want to associate my REAL SOCOM3 ID with a burned copy if I can help it.
I did the same thing for NCAA Football 2006 and it worked just fine.
EDIT: I used the first one posted up earlier in this thread and used wincalculator to convert some random numbers between 0 and 255 to hex numbers.

How do you make a working backup of Socom 3 when i try the iso read in DVD Decrypter it stops at 19% and gives me an error? is there anyway to make a working backup?

How did you manage to get the ISO file on your computer to rebuild it?? I can't even get the game to rip onto my computer to try to rebuild the iso. Could somebody please tell me the program and method they used to get the iso on their computer from the orignal disc

ok instead of rebuilding i just burned it straight with DVD Decrypter and it worked, now I just have to check if it will work for online.

so it does work with swapmagic. but ive read from different sites that socom 3 online isnt available with the backup, in other words, it cant be patched.

rebuilding the game will only get you a black screen.. trust me guys.
this is how i got socom 3 to work.
Dvd Decrypter, iso read, Iso Write @ 2x, burned the first copy at 4x and got a slow loading socom 3 game. 2x is the key i believe, and good media.
i used fujifilm DVD-R and loaded it up via cogswap.

I used DVD dercypter and ISO read Iso write like I do for everyother game, and it also froze at the SOCOM 3 US NAVY SEALS loading screen.
???
