I too had MANY problems with Bewitched. I tried everything! Even AnyDVD and nothing worked, but finally this is what I did to finally get it to work...
1. Open up DVD Decrypter.
2. Go to "Tools" then "Settings".
3. You should be on the "General Tab".
4. On the "General Tab" check: "check for structure protection" and "hide pack header warnings".
5. Go to "CSS Tab" and select the second option: "brute force -> I/O key exchange".
Now download to your HDD to do with what you want. I used Shrink to compress then Nero Recode 2 from Nero 7 Ultra Edition.
Let me know if anyone tries this method to get it to work. :)

AnyDVD running
DVD Decrypter to hard drive
Use DVD Shrink to populate the disk *
* You HAVE to have burning software installed for shrink to work.
Nero is a great piggyback app. You don't even have to register it.
Once installed, Shrink uses the Nero engine to burn when it sees the files on the drive.
Did Bewitched yesterday, I had all the same problems until I turned on AnyDVD. It is a 3 part process, but it works...

Quote: "Shrink uses the Nero engine to burn when it sees the files on the drive."
You have that kinda backwards. Nero uses DVD Shrink's interface to burn. Making it appear DVD Shrink is the program that is burning. DVD Shrink does not burn.

Shrink "uses" the Nero engine!
Yes, Nero is doing the work behind the scenes, but initiated by Shrink. DVD Shrink was purposfully written to be a host app...
We are saying the same thing.

Everyone is going to have a different way to do Bewitched and they may all work. The common denominator here is to use one of the latest decrypters, AnyDVD, DVD Fab and possibly DVD43 although I haven't seen DVD43 mentioned as yet. AnyDVD will work with almost every program but seems to work best with CloneDVD 2. DVD Fab is a good new ripper and DVD 43 was updated a few months ago so it should work. Shrink and Decrypter are no longer updated so they will need help from one of the other 3 programs to work on the new encryptions. Take your choice. The main thing here is it can be done if processed properly. This thread can go on forever with everyone telling us their way of doing it. Just remember you need one of the new decrypting programs to do it. Good luck.

Ok question. I used everything I could think of and finally dvdfab was the only program to work. My trial with AnyDVD is up so I don't have that option. I have the files on my pc and I need to dump them into shrink to ... well shrink it. But as sson as I load the file into shrink I get an error saying something about memory. Any ideas?

I too was able to backup Bewitched to the hard drive using AnyDVD + DVD Decrypter in file mode. However, I could not backup using AnyDVD + DVD Decrypter in iso mode.
Just out of curiosity, has anybody been able to back up Bewitched using AnyDVD + DVD Decrypter in iso mode?
And since there has been so much discussion regarding this movie, I tried and was also successful at backing up this movie using DVD Fab Decrypter (newest version) without AnyDVD. DVD Fab Decrypter also backs up in file mode.
Shrink was able to read and reauthor the files from the hard drive using both methods above.

ISO mode is for 1:1 identical copies (like going from single layer DVD to single layer blank media or dual layer DVD to blank dual layer media), per LIGHTNING UK!. Some movies won't work if you decrypt them in ISO mode.

I tried and tried to back-up Bewitched. Took it back and told them that the disc was damaged. Got a new one, same thing!!!!
Figured it had something to do with the fact that DVD Decrypter isn't being updated anymore. Tried DVDFab along with shrink and it worked perfectly!!!

I opened, reauthored, ripped and bunred with shrink alone (no DVD Decrypter, no any dvd, no dvdfab decrypter) and watched the burned film with no problem at all.
the extras are worthless anyway and for all the advice here, if you just want the film you do not need anything at all but DVD Shrink and a blank disk
