for "backed up" movies you shouldnt need to use the swap disks.
If there are exact copies just put them in the ps2 and let it boot of it....
swap disks are for just the ps2 games

dills my dvd-r backed up movie still wont work in my ps2 with normal boot using the eject tray or the fliptop part. when i use the swap magic i wont work either. put it works perfect on my drx 500ul which i used to burn but my internal dvd player wont read it. i dont know if thats because my internal dvd player is compatable with dvd-r disc or not.

it could be a number of things...
your internal should read it even if its not the burner.
Make sure the disk is finalized because that could cause problems.
Check some of the movie dvdr forums for more answers and then we can work on getting it to boot on ps2. I cant think of any movies i have burned that havent worked on ps2... mine are +r's though

tuner - what version PS2 is it? it could possibly be an issue with the disc since it wont play on your laptop, have you had those discs work with games or any other movies?

you'll probably have to call them and see if you can senda money order or if they do c.o.d. you might also be able to get somewhere that can take your checking account #'s nad draw out the money directly. I'm pretty sure that modchipkits.com will let you send them a money order.

yeah i've ordered from them quite a few times, and if you have any problems they are good about returns and stuff. let me know if you have problems, dont bother with the support email address on the site, i know the owners email address.

I have a fliptop with the Swap Magic disk and it works great. That is, for PS2 games (CD & DVD). Has anyone ever tried to use PS one backups with you swap magic disk (cd) on the PS2? I can't get them to work. Does any one have a clue?

as far as i know there is no way in $#%@ to copy those disks they have many bad sectors on purpose to trick the ps2.
Unless you knew where they make those circular scraps...thers no way
