Hello, I need some help I just got DVD X Platinum and Video Vault. But I need some help the Video Vault works great if you want a movie with out the main menu. But when I try and use the DVD X Platinum I get error messages and or burn complete. But when I try out the disc it will either play but freeze up or skip, or I get a can't read disc message. Now from reading I think part of my problem is my media I was using Memorex DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD-DL. As you can guess I had some that work and others that don't so, bought some Verbatim DVD-R but I still am having problems. What am I doing wrong and did I waste my money on the DVD ripping software??? Thanks for any help you can provide.
Sorry I forgot to add this the DVD X Platinum is from DVDXSoftware. I am running it on an Alienware Area 51 P4 1.5Ghz with 1GB of ram, Sony DRX-710UL burner.

well DVD Decrypter is an excellent software (well has not given me problems till now) and its free.
Dvd shrink is'nt that good decrypter is much better and easier to use.
I think you are talking about the product from "X software", which is basically a rewrite of the old DVD X Copy. I bought it too, and was not happy with its capabilities or performance. For one thing, I could never get the "preview" function to work. The company promised an update, but it never happened. However, somewhat to my surprise, they did honor their 90-day guarantee and refunded my money.
Now I use DVD Shrink with Nero 6 OEM and and DVD43 as a decryptor. A dynamite combination and all of it free (Nero came bundled with my new DVD burner). I have gotten perfect backups of everything I have tried, including recent Sony movies, and am able to split or reauthor pretty much any way I want.
im have same problem with the DVD X Platinum software can ripp any more and comes up the the error could you point me in the right direction for updates i know there is one but i can seem to find it, for free at least my bud did an update and his works just fine now. Please help
