No idea man. I never heard of this Sbox mod. Is it like the old Mod Cartridge you plugged into the back of the PSX? I'd have to do a little research and get back to you on that one.

The Maxell is CMC Mag, so that's garbage. Are you trying to play the game from your HD? Try backing it up on the Sony DVD-R's, they're much better quality.

95. Q. I'm in the market for a new DVD Burner, which one should I get?
A. That largely depends on what features are important to you, how much you're willing to spend, and the performance of the DVD Burner under a variety of circumstances. Any good review of a DVD Burner conatains a wide variety of tests and quality measures.
Reviews of most newer model DVD Burners: http://cdrlabs.com/

@Exxitar What kind of media are you using?

TDK is rated okay, but I've been told by some burning guru's they blow. Go ahead and get some Taiyo Yuden's or Verbatim's from http://www.supermediastore.com I've talked to a lot of people that have had problems with TDK's lately. That would seem to confirm what I've been told.

Does your PS2 have trouble reading originals? When you turn it on, does it say Matrix, Toxic, or anything like that?

What game is it? Try rebuilding.

10. Q. What does rebuilding an iso mean?
A. It means that some games 4.36-4.38GB's may need rebuilt to work with Swap Magic. This isn't true for ALL games over 4.38GB's and differs on a game to game basis. There is no need to rebuild games if you have a modchip. Another purpose of rebuilding is to make games run smoother. Usually the size of the game after rebuilding is smaller, but not always. If you're a Swap Magic user, make sure to look out for dummy files when rebuilding. If you are having trouble getting a backup to boot, and you're sure the media isn't the problem, try rebuilding the game.

11. Q. How Do I rebuild games?
A. With Nero and Isobuster (works as long as no single file is over 2 GB's): http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/197949
With CD/DVDGen: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/210515
With Expert (Gnie's new rebuilding tool):
Gnie's PS2 Auto Rebuilder Tool Download (Thanks to 3DLuis):
http://www.alucard.cc/ps2/ExPERT_v1.03.rar
Instructions to Gnie's Tool ExPERT From Paddymail:

Here's how to use it.. it might not work for all games though.

Open the program.

1. Select the Shrinker_ps2_psp_CdDvd5_iso.epi on the plugins drop down list.
2. Select the iso you want to rebuild.
3. Click extract LBA.
4. Click extract file and wait for it to finish.
5. Click rebuild file and wait for it to finish.
6. Click rebuild LBA.
7. Burn the new iso with Nero or DVD Decrypter as usual.

Hoi, a problem with the game Kessen III. I've created a ISO with DVD-decrypter. The ISO have a size of 5.11 GB, so i rebuilted it with Gnie's PS2 Auto Rebuilder Tool . After that the new ISO have a size of 1.64 GB and i burned it as usual with Nero (burning Image) buth it don't work with my swap magic. The problem cannot be the media, because in the past al my back-ups (about 40) works perfect. Does anybody nows if this game haves dummy's ?????????????

I checked my copy of DMC, I didn't see any dummy files. Try all three methods of rebuilding?

@BM Coach What's the Media ID of the DVD's you're using? What game are you trying to rebuild.

91. Q. What is the Media ID of a DVD and how can I find it?
A.The Media ID of a DVD is the true measure of it's quality. It contains prerecorded info about the disc's manufacturer. The quality of the disc will vary depending on the media code. The media code isn't visible on the disc or the packaging. To check the media ID, Open DVD Decrypter, insert your disc, and check what it says under Media ID or Manufacturer ID. You can also use a program called DVD Identifier which is very useful. You can find it here: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_id...
Last but not least you can use DVD Info Pro: http://www.dvdinfopro.com/
Compare the Media ID to this link: http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm

Hoi Tokijin. Decrypter says : Disc ID: Plasmon1-C01-00. That's it ?? I always buy my DVD's at www.dvdmonaco.com. In the past, never a problem with my back-ups (about 40).
The game i try to rebuild is Kessen III. Any suggestions ??

Short answer is that I can't find that listed anywhere, it's shite. Get some Verb's or TY's from http://www.supermediastore.com

Try getting some better media. Did you try rebuilding?

Hoi Tokijin, my back-ups still don't work. I tryed the method with Gnie's PS2 Auto Rebuilder Tool and the method from http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/275350 (ISO Buster Pro 1.8 - CD/DVD GEN 1.5 - Gnie's IML2ISO).
I burned both ISO at 2x and 4x and use two different media.
Is it normal that both rebuilded ISO are only 1.64 GB and the original decrypted ISO was 5.11 GB.
Maybe Hursty can give a hint. I saw in his list that he created a workable back-up.

My youngest son isn't happy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
