It'll be fine. For the record.... the ps2 wasn't exactly a flop, and certainly if you look at the latest games, it's visually quite nice, certainly in detail (not reso).
Also, the biggest reason why the ps3 wasn't released in china was because Sony didn't want it to be because they copied the shit out of the games and made it profitless.

hell yeah,in china it's a crazy business,you can go right nwo and pick up brand new ps2 games for $5,they look original,but there fakes,just check out the chinesse markets,lol...

yes i agree with what you say, but the bullshit story they released was to cover their own short comings when it came to security of their product.....which failed in any case.

Their product should not NEED securing though. They released it when the slim-line became harder to chip, but it's not Sony's problem if people decide to copy games.

i believe you're wrong there friend. it is sony's problem. they are losing profits to these unscrupulous characters, so there is a necessity and an obligation on their part to install security measures to prevent the loss of these profits.
i agree its down to the people that do these things, but there are restrictons placed on the consumer by sony, among other companies, that prevents use of import titles and other regional software. if to be removed this could have an impact, negligable i agree, on the number of people having their machines chipped to use this software. we all know that you, generally, need a chipped machine to play illegal software. so if these restrictions were to be removed there would be less chance a machine would be chipped. and although people could then use imported software, sony would still have their own products in their machines and not some dirty pirate's.
Its the lesser of two evils.....piracy WILL continue but lets try and slow it down and make it hard.

Ok back on topic lol.Thx ddp from us all!
I agree with the ps2 in china being scarce but it was available to them.The ps2 was no flop at all in fact it clearly outsold it's competitors and is outselling the 360 even after the 360 has been out for a year(depending on which month it is).

Well you have to keep in mind that the ps2 has been around a lot longer then the 360. So of coarse it is selling out the 360 (even though the 360 cost a lot more). But I bet in 5 or 6 years when the 360 has been around as long as the ps2 has (up untill this point) it will sell a lot more copies then the 360.

True but keep in mind the xbox 1 and gamecube have also been out for a long time and they aren't and never have competed with ps2 sales..
