no accually i dont. the only games you listed their i think seem alright may be bioshock and mass effect, but even then so i havnt seen much or either or heard fantastic news to be able to call them must-haves.
and how can anyone like dead-f***ing-rising? it is the most obserd excuse for a game i have seen in some time. i would lose interest in playing after a short time. it seems more like a game to play here and there for 30 mins with friends taking turns killing. i dont like killing mindless creatures, i like a challenge or something. this is just lame.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

i admit it would be fun, but not something with any replay value or and value past 30 minutes. i dont particularly enjoy mindless, endless hack 'n' slash. plus, what kind of story can you put behind a mall of zombies? why is there a mall of zombies? why just a mall? and doesnt this sound a little familiar? (stubbs the zombie had a fun segment in a mall, and in an episode of invader zim there were zombies being bred by the government from captured mall patrons. get some creativity devs..)

but really, this could be said about any game, if you simplify it enough. (e.g. "how many hookers can you kill before it becomes routine", "how many times can you win a race before the game gets old", "how many guitar songs can you play before it becomes gimmicky" etc)
Dead Rising really is a fun game.

well i supose so, but seeing as though ps3 will not be released in the uk for another few mounths, until then xbox 360 has my full attention.
PS3 specs may look better than xbox 360 but i am yet to see a game on the PS3 that looks better than any of the top end xbox 360 games such as gears of war, mass effect and halo 3.

Yeah, I mean since the ps3 has not been let out, we don't know yet, but I'm thinking this time sony did what ms did last time. They waited longer and did a better job.

if a game has an enticing storyline and gets me into the characters, they never lose replay value for years. i've beaten HL2 many times, and its still fun. dead rising is the same thing over and over with little reson behind, not very interesting. but like i said, if you are just playing to play here and there im sure its not bad, but i like to get into my games. class over trash.

but which console sold more!

Some of you guys are very silly hey.
For starters Dead Rising is a fantastic game, its the reason I bought a 360, sure you kill zombies over and over and over, thats not what its all about, there was a mission structure and I have played through dead rising 3 times so far, theres not been an open ended game with a time constraint like that for a long time if ever.
And on the console war.... I buy every single console.
I own a dc, gc, xbox, ps2 and now a 360.
The ps3 seems as if it could have amazing processing power thanks to its Single CPU plus 7 SPUs, but I am getting the idea its going to be horrible to program for, takes a step back into the past with the ps2 that had an incredibly powerful cpu for its time.
When it comes to GPUs I would have to say the 360 has the edge with its unified shaders then again I have not heard the final specs for the RSX, but to tell you the truth being a close relative of the 7800 GTX doesn't really excite me much.
Those things said I will be buying a PS3 when MGS4 comes out.
Why not have the best of both worlds, I'll be buying a Wii as well Metroid <3

look, its based off the g70(7800gtx), its not a g70. its like one remodeled and put on steroids. the graphics in hours side by side comparrison leave the ps3 with a little edge in my eye minus that ridge racer game. look at my side by side review of the two consoles in the console debate thread.

dont hate on the PS3 too soon now. All the next gen systems have crappy launch titles. Yes oofrome even the wii =D. Excite truck is retarded. Crappy graphics and controls. Using the wiimote as a steering wheel isnt that great. Now if a flagship was crappy then thats a different story.
Im sure dev arent gonna go and fix everything on ported launch titles. Ofcourse 360 ports are gonna look better than PS3 right now when they have been working with it for over a year. Give devs time to get used to the PS3 and wii and iron out all the wrinkles then the true comparison can begin.

Yeh I know still doesn't impress me, the 8800GTX on the other hand certainly does, 128 Unified Processors.
I'm just gonna wait till I know the real specs, because after a year of the 360 being out I find it perplexing that it would be 550Mhz and 24 pipes.

Haha that's true. Many titles I expected to be good aren't getting good reviews, and those that I thought would be lame ports are suddenly catching my attention. (Madden 07, in particular)
Although to be fair, the excite truck controll scheme is getting good reviews. It was one of the strong points on IGN's review.

well when i played it, it was kind of lacking in the fun category. Cuz when you barely turn the mote the car would be fully turned already. I was expecting something more realistic. But it was just probably that game. Im thinking it would be more fun if it was NFS carbon or some type of drifting goin on.
Im probably gonna go pick up the wii tomorow nite cuz i couldnt get a PS3. Mainly cuz i wanna be samurai champloo with redsteel and the new zelda looks amazing.

Seeing how Warioware looks better than Gears of War, I think it's safe to say the Wii completely and undeniably obliterates the ps3 and 360 out of the water. (in terms of graphics.)

I found that your request for no fanboy reply as funny. I read your earlier post and IMHO it is not pretty. Someone who know the answer will not answer your question simply because the way you ask it, is borderline fanboyism. Please pardon me for this comment. I only read up to page 3. So maybe something did change after that.
If someone ask me about PS3 and 360. I will say that both system are equal and it will all depends on the game.
However you ask something specific. This thread also start focusing on GPU comparison and a little bit of CPU comparison.
Read the following link at your own sweat time and do your best to understand whatever it says. After you read all the 11 page, please read through the comment. I did that and discover very good point and counter argument in the comments.
