Help with DVD Shrink needed...please!

Your best bet would be to back up the files that you need and then format your hard drive and put a fresh version of WinXP on it. Then go back to afterdawn and install the software that you want. I do this on my computer every 4-5 months and it really helps. Good luck.

Every once in a while my systems acts up. Usually because I have picked up something or what ever or however I have corrupted the files. Then I go nuts! So I have to uninstall everything pertaining to DVD copying. Everything old and everything new everything. Then start all over again reinstalling only the programs I like the best. Some things are just don't play well together. Do you use Nero too? I always have Nero installed it works behind the scenes and I never really mess with it but it makes my everything work great. I know I'm not much help but that's what I do when things run-a-muck.

NO...do not uninstall anything. This is what you should do:

1) Make sure you have your factory disc or your Windows XP disc with serial number.
2) Back up all of your pictures, favorites, email addresses, music, etc.
3) Make a list of the software that you have installed on your computer so you know what to put back on.
4) Insert your WinXP Disc or Factory CD inside your CD drive and restart your computer.
5) You then need to install a fresh copy of Windows XP and delete the current partition then install windows on the new C:
6) Once you have your computer back up and running then you will need to install the software that you want back onto your computer.

By doing this, you will have that "New Computer" feel. I do this to my computer at least twice a year. It runs faster and I have less problems. If you would like to call me you can. I use dvdfab as well and have never had a problem. Flightplan was never a problem. Great movie btw. Anywho, The overlapping I/O is not a problem with the software, rather an issue that can be corrected with post work like VOBblanker. However, make sure you have the latest release of dvdfab because (i think) the encryption algorhythms might be locking it up on an older version. Just a thought. Happy Burning.
