I've recently bought ANYDVD and managed to burn one Encoded DVD great!
However, after updating my ANYDVD (a recent update mind you) whenever I get to the point of burning any sort of DVD related file, my comp freezes up! To see if this was in fact a burner issue or ANYDVD prob, I tried to burn without enabling anyDVD and I was succesful! Booooo! I wish it was something like my burner where I could just revert the firmware....
So anyways, I uninstalled ANYDVD to the original version I bought and was previously succesful with and still I get a comp freeze when I get to the point of actually initializing a burn. This bug affects many burning programs and I'm a little confused. Has anyone else had this problem, for that matter is ANYDVD a decent program in everyone's Opinion??
monterico,
Welcome to the forum. This has to be a first as I have never heard of this happening before. I would really think that if there was a problem w/ AnyDVD it would be happening to alot more people. Lets see if we can figure out what is wrong.
1.What are the burning programs you have on the computer?
2.What is the model name and number of the burner?
3.D/l a free registry cleaner and clean the registry. This might correct the problem as registry conflicts do occur w/in different burning programs
AnyDVD is a great program by the way. You only need to have AnyDVD enabled when ever you decrypt the movie. After decryption I usually turn mine off. Really sounds like you are having conflicts w/ the computer
Thanks for giving it to me straight Car.Mike!
You're right, I think there's some kind of conflict with my computer. That's just the problem, I'm confused because AnyDVD worked for me after I initially installed it really well! However after I updated AnyDVD I ran into issues.
To start, I'm using an LG , Model # GSA-4166B
But so far since my last post I reset the Drive configurations(switched my DVD burner to master and CD-RW to Slave. I dunno if that has much to do with a potential problem because doesn't BIOS take care of that sort of thing? Also I uninstalled AnyDVD to try and keep my system from freezing, and that didn't work.... Until I uninstalled AnyDVD and choosing to uninstall the registration information.
So I'm back to burnin', I'll be back to let you know how my comp responds to the new patch,(5.8.1.2 . Ummm, I remember there being something in the patch read-me about it not being compatable with CDShrink or Nero. Of course, I use CDShrink for burning since the only other Progs I have are bundled P.O.S's, = crap, heh.
So I'm just running the last V of AnyDVD, 5.8.1.1. which unlike 5.8.1.2., doesn't seem to have any probs with CD SHrink! ! !
